He is a very balanced and technically sound defender with heavy hands, a strong strike and explosive his hips quickly off the ball. He shows he can create vertical displacement and reset the line of scrimmage while showing quick bike recognition and backside pursuit to ball carriers. Overall he is a stout run defender and offers some good switch and explosion in pass rush situation’s. Flaherty committed to the University of Idaho and also held offers from Idaho State and the College of Idaho.
