Jordan Reyes | Prep Redzone Scout
Dynamic edge defender at 6’4” 230 lbs. Explodes out of his stance with quickness and power to establish early positional leverage or collapse the pocket. Shows he can move in the short area to redirect to the ball and close ground quickly in tight spaces. Demonstrates excellent hand technique and placement, using them effectively to maintain separation from blockers and then shed. Possesses a strong anchor to hold his ground and maintain a gap lined up on the edge or in the interior. Good ability to contain the edge by keeping the outside arm free and his shoulders square to funnel plays inside. Offered by Eastern Washington and Idaho State last summer and more recently picked up Black Hills State.

being at the top of this list comes as no surprise to me. At 6’4″ and a very lean 230 lbs, he’s a ball of athleticism sent to terrorize opposing offensive lines. If you put a bigger lineman in front of him, he’ll use his speed to go around. If you put a faster lineman in front of him, he’ll use his strength to move them against their will. Arol does a great job of working down the line of scrimmage to effect the run without leaving his side unattended. The Vista Grande edge rusher already has a game with four sacks and another with two, truly highlighting his ability to take over a game. A player whose recruitment picked up a bit through the summer, it could take a huge jump if he can continue to produce at this high of a level.

Despite holding two FCS offers, Arol is still one of the more underrecruited defensive prospects in the state given his size and ability at 6’4” 230 lbs. Explosive first step with the lateral quickness and agility to redirect and close space in the short area. Does a great job containing the edge by keeping his positional leverage and keeping his shoulders square to force everything to the inside. High motor guy that pursues hard to chase down backside and downfield plays. has been on the rise this summer with offers from Eastern Washington and Idaho State but deserves to see more D1 programs come through now in his senior year.

Active edge defender for Vista Grande but has the size and positional versatility to play multiple spots at the next level depending on development. Plus length and growth potential at 6’4” 230 lbs. Quick and explosive out of his stance to gain positional leverage before the play develops. Good athlete that can redirect and close space in the short area. Chases hard in pursuit and finishes the play with high effort. Good hand usage and placement, uses them well to keep blockers away from his body to contain the edge. In just six games played as a junior he finished with 28 total tackles, 16 of them solo, adding 9 sacks and four TFL. Tons of upside and potential to be a quality next level recruit.

is an incredibly rare mix of speed and power. At 6’4” and a lean 230 lbs, he looks like he was specifically built to play defensive end. He can get to the quarterback in, what seems like, two steps and can do it so quickly that he nearly takes the handoff instead of the running back. Arol does an excellent job of crashing down on the run. He has great bend when he’s coming around the edge and is able to wrap right behind the lineman as he beelines for the ball. His ability to keep his concentration and never lose track of the ball is also impressive. Rarely is he seen overunning the play or getting fooled on a run fake. What’s most impressive about Arol is how good he already is, while still having so much room to grow. He has incredible raw speed and strength, and is able to use that to get into the backfield on nearly every play. I would love to see him start to use his quick feet to set up leverage for himself against some of the bigger and longer linemen. When he faces players with more reach, it will limit how effective his sheer power is; having the ability to use finesse will add a whole other dynamic to his game. You can tell he plays with both motivation and passion – that much is clear just from watching film. If he has a similar drive off the field, Arol can really put his name on the map among 2025 edge rushers. He’s a player who’ll start to garner lots of attention in his final season.
