Remember how I said last week that South Dakota 11A was stacked with offensive linemen talent in this 2027 class? We meet our second of the four 11A offensive linemen at OL3 we have Ashten Dorhout Ashten Dorhout 6'3" | 265 lbs | OL Madison | 2027 State SD of Madison. Ashen is a missile with his hands when he is able to land his punches in space as you won’t miss on the explosiveness traits that Ashten has at his disposal. His pad-level as a right guard pins just about perfectly when he meets his defender at the point of attack and I feel he got more explosive with his footwork from what we saw from his sophomore tape. The Madison Bulldogs have our OL3 in 2027 and our OL1 in 2028 so let’s just say their pass protection of top-tier quarterback Henry Veenhof Henry Veenhof 6'4" | 200 lbs | QB/ATH Madison | 2028 State SD should be in good hands in the upcoming seasons. Ashten surely appears as a solid FCS grade out of this 2027 SD class and has a chance to be OL2 or OL1 by the time this class wraps up.

Ashten is another top-tier graded offensive linemen we have in this South Dakota 2027 class that has a constant monsterous punch at the point of attack that oozes with physicality at the right guard position. It doesn’t take long to see on tape that Ashten has the sound football IQ that can multi-engage that shows off more sudden footwork that has grown since he was at our Dakotas Showcase already a year ago. He is nasty from a punch perspetive that can drive his defender on his rear end quickly. Surely a scholarship-level grade in my eyes that currently sits in our top 10 overall in this 2027 class, as that should stick with this upcoming update.

Another offensive linemen that was a stockriser in this 2027 class, is another Madison Bulldogs target in Ashten Dorhout Ashten Dorhout 6'3" | 265 lbs | OL Madison | 2027 State SD who moved up around 5+ spots with this update. The 6’3 260 pounder, has such fluid movement on both sides of the trenches and is not an offensive linemen I would not want to be in front of as a downhill pull-blocker as on it seemed like every rep, Ashten shows off a massive punch. The quickness of Ashten’s punch also was striking on tape, as off his first step (3rd play on tape) as if you blink, you miss the damage that he caused. Ashten also has plenty of fluidity in his athletic movement getting to the second level as one that should be a sure target to know early, not later as one of my favorite offensive linemen out of Madison I have scouted over the years.
