Stats: 20/36, 413 Yards Passing, 2 TDsrnArmon is a raw QB prospect, but there are tools that were on display last week that have me intrigued for his potential. Armon came out slinging it in Week One. The arm strength is what catches your eye first. When he lets it rip, the ball fires out of his hand with velocity and it maintains that velocity all the way to the receiver downfield. That arm strength allowed him to make a couple nice, quick throws out of play action fakes without having to get his feet set. Armon also made several throws that showed off the accuracy. He was able to put the ball where his man had the best chance to come down with it while protecting it from the defense. Vinson also brings a dual threat to the field with his legs. Keep an eye on the productive senior athlete.

Vinson led the state in passing yards on opening weekend. In one game, the senior quarterback threw for over half the yards that he did in 10 games last season. Totaling 413 passing yards, the 6’0 190 lbs signal caller from Belleville East put his name on the map. He impressed on every type of throw, including vertical balls, intermediate throws, passes on the run, and check downs. He can change his arm slots to put the ball only where his receivers can get it. With a record setting performance last week, keep an eye out for Vinson throughout the season.

plays QB for the Lancers but is so dangerous with his legs & feet that I had to classify him as an ATH in our updated PRzIL 2024 rankings. He can work under center or out of the shotgun, can throw on the run and shows off solid velocity and touch, and does a good job of getting the ball out of his hand quickly. What really excites me is his general mobility, as he’s instinctive when feeling and avoiding pressure, can extend plays impressively, and is smooth when stepping up into the pocket to avoid the rush. He’s straight-up dangerous when he takes off and runs, and is balanced when breaking tackles when scrambling, and does a good job of keeping his up and downfield but recognizes when to take off and run and can really hurt defenses with his legs, as he’s shifty with the ball in hand and dangerous in space. Vinson is a notable athlete at the position who could project to multiple spots at the college level. No offers yet, get at him!
