By far my favorite 2029 defensive back in the group at the Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase in session 2, was Brooklyn Park’s

. This young man was paired with one of the best defensive backs in attendance and took plenty of knowledge from what I grasped from start to finish, which shows to me that Arman has a quickly growing football IQ. There’s no doubt that you could gauge the change of direction this young man has early in his Indy reps, as Arman ran a 4.13 pro agility to start the day which has to be towards the top-tier amongst defensive backs and surely in his class. Arman showed off quick vision during the 1v1s I got to watch and closed downhill quickly from what he picked up on during Indy. A 2029 for the Centaurs that I can’t wait to watch how he develops over the coming years.

was playing lights out on Saturday afternoon at the PRZMN Spring Showcase. The 2029 – aided by a ridiculous 4.13 shuttle during testing – was one of the stickiest coverage corners of Session 2, flat-out dominating the underclassmen group of competitors, and he also up there for “most reps” of the 1v1 session as well. I watched Rice-El win rep after rep after rep at the Showcase, completely erasing any kind of short to intermediate route WRs could throw at him, and flashing the deep speed to stay on top of any and all wideouts attempting to work vertically. Speaking of the WRs, Rice-El was noticeably frustrating and pissing off WRs thanks to how closely he was guarding them (no flag-worthy interference, I swear). Instinctive, aggressive at the catch point, seamlessly sticky to a WR’s hip pocket, excellent press coverage technique, and confident and physical above his years. Not the biggest, but definitely one of the baddest.
