Anthony Shovlin Anthony Shovlin 6'4" | 270 lbs | OL Pittsburgh Central Catholic | 2024 State PA played right tackle for Pittsburgh Central Catholic last year. He is a good player who has a nice combination of athleticism and strength to play offensive line. He does a really good job blocking in the run game. Shovlin also shows good skills against edge defenders in the passing game. Shovlin is a consistently good player who should have a chance to play College Football.

Anthony is another nasty and versatile OL who has mobility and toughness. He’s a good puller and has a knack for pancaking his blocking assignments. As an OG, Shovlin is an effective down blocker who also performs well as a center. He has a good frame at 6’4, 280 lbs, with the right amount of strength and physicality. I agree with my colleague Vic Castillo Vic Castillo RB PA on how it’s perplexing that Anthony is completely unoffered at the moment. Shovlin is without a doubt one of the top O-linemen on the Vikings.

The fifth and final top 100 prospect listed in this piece. 5-minute tape full of quality reps at either guard spot. Center capable too. I’ve written evaluations of Shovlin in the past, so I won’t rewrite them here. The PCC roster brings in coaches from across the country, with 10+ prospects having over 1,000 Hudl views to their name, it’s a question as to why a 6’4 OL in this offense has just 110 views to his latest tape.

How this young man doesn’t have some form of offer under his belt is beyond me. Maybe the measurables don’t line up. Maybe his grades don’t check out. There has to be a real reason. IOL reps, either guard capable prospect who can play center if need be. Self-reported 6’4, 275. Heavy limbs and a punishing finisher. Looks to play with attitude. Tape looks to have him as a foundation piece to collegiate OL units, at the very least in the interior. Would love to know if he plays basketball or has a history in wrestling. An aware IOL who needs more attention.

6’4, 270-pound right guard that can easily absorb blitzes and powerful contact. Says something about his base. Would love to know more about Anthony Shovlin Anthony Shovlin 6'4" | 270 lbs | OL Pittsburgh Central Catholic | 2024 State PA ‘s alignment versatility, as he has the frame and athleticism to be kicked out to tackle. Cleans up kids that can’t match his size. Shows a good understanding of assignments, multiple too, he can locate his next target after chipping with his neighboring tackle. I’m positive this kid can perform along the interior of the defensive line too. I see him winning a big chunk of his reps strictly off being persistent and blocking to the whistle. You can say early reps are often even, 2-3 seconds into the play you can bet Shovlin has overcome his matchup.
