Yoxey measures in at 5’10 165-pounds playing defensive back and punter for Pueblo South. This previous season, he had 13 total tackles (8 solo, 5 assisted), with 1 pass deflection. He had 21 punts for 963 yards, getting it inside the 20, 8 times. Yoxey displays good athletic ability due to good acceleration, jumping, change of direction, and speed. Good job creating contact at the line of scrimmage and re-routing his opponent. He has good man coverage and closing quickness. Good zone coverage. Good tackling too. As a punter, he exhibits very good leg control and good kick power. Smooth kicking motion exploding into the ball and putting his defense in great position. I’m intrigued to how he does this upcoming season.
Yoxey is a DB/P for Pueblo South. Measures in at 5’10 165-pounds. Last season, he accounted for 13 total tackles (8 solo, 5 assisted), 1 PD, 21 punts for 963 yards, 8 times inside the 20. Yoxey has good athletic ability due to good speed, acceleration, change of direction, and jumping. Good back pedal out of his stance. Good closing quickness and man coverage. Yoxey does a great job as a punter. Uses his good leg accuracy and kick power to flip the field and put his defense in good position. I’m intrigued to see how he continues to develop moving forward.
Yoxey displayed strong fundamentals and physicality as a defensive back in press coverage. His ability to use his hands at the line of scrimmage helped disrupt receivers and throw off timing, giving him an early advantage in reps. Yoxey consistently positioned himself well, staying in phase and making it difficult for receivers to create separation. While he allowed some contested catches, he was rarely out of position, which speaks to his discipline and understanding of coverage responsibilities. His ability to break on the football and compete at the catch point was encouraging. With continued refinement, Yoxey has the potential to develop into a consistent and reliable presence in the secondary.
