About Andrew

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Rugged inline TE or OL. Currently will be starting LT for St. Ignatius.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I prefer to lead by example in terms of working hard, being on time and paying attention. I just want to be on the field regardless of position.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a part of the St. Joseph of Arimathea Pallbearers which provides pallbearers for those who do not have relatives or friends to serve at their funerals.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have volunteered in an inner-city school which gave me the opportunity to work with a lot of younger students whoc looked up to me and do not have the same good fortune that I do. While I was hesitant at first, I did end up looking forward to going there once a week and working with the students.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that will be provide me with a great education, first and foremost, and then secondarily, an opportunity to excel on the football team.

Davalla is an offensive lineman who definitely passes the look test. He has the length, frame, and athleticism to play at the division 1 level. His feet and athleticism definitely stick out in his pass pro. In the run game he can down block and rub and get to the second level. Akron, Kent State, and Ohio this week to go along with his offers from Miami and Toledo. Davalla is starting to get power 4 interest from several schools in the ACC and Big Ten. If he continues to develop and has a good camp season, I would be surprised if that power 4 interest didn’t turn into offers.

Andrew Davalla Andrew Davalla Andrew Davalla 6'6" | 280 lbs | OL St. Ignatius | 2027 State OH is a starting right tackle for St. Ignatius High School. Davalla has good first-step quickness, good leg drive and is a good finisher as a run blocker. He climbs nicely to the second level and combo-blocks well with guards to create vertical push in the run game. Although he gets walked back at times due to his weight, he has the foot speed to mirror rushers.
