It doesn’t take long to see why Andrej sits as our EDGE1 in the 2027 class, as his fluidity around the edges shows as some of the best we’ve seen from a movement and physicality standpoint with how much contact he’s able to distribute on contact. The NDSU commit is very wirey when his ability to bounce off blocks and create chaos on almost every play you see on tape. You would be foolish as an evaluator to miss this young man on the eye-test and I feel the Bison got a significant steal that should have gotten more attention on his D1 recruiting trail than he did.

Hastings St. Cecilia’s Andrej Sabatka Andrej Sabatka 6'4" | 250 lbs | EDGE/TE Grand Island Central Catholic | 2027 State NE was a player who easily could’ve made the rankings list as either an offensive or defensive lineman. The tape is somewhat limited, but there is still a lot to like about the towering prospect. Andrej has the size, 6’5″ and 225 pounds, and the lengthy, athletic frame that projects well to the collegiate level. He uses his long reach to keep defenders at bay while also using it to create separation from blockers at the line of scrimmage. Sabatka displays good lateral mobility and quickness which helps him move into the second level to clear out defenders. Very physical at the point of attack with excellent “pop” with his hands and great leg drive. Andrej’s versatility shined through on defense as he was lined up at both defensive end and tackle, looking natural in both spots. Don’t sleep on the sophomore from St. Cecilia!
