A prospect I have enjoyed following over the last year has found a new home. Keeping the “B’s” the same, Alexander Bosch Alexander Bosch 5'9" | 150 lbs | WR Wood-Ridge | 2024 State NJ will change from a Woodbridge Barron to a Bucknell Bison. An outstanding academic program, after as many camps I have seen Bosch excel at and how hard he works, I am certain this young man will be a winner and a leader – both on the field and in the classroom.

Just a football player through-and-through, AJ Bosch is a prospect that I seemingly saw at every camp during the spring. I did not matter the location, venue, against who, or where he lined up on the field – Bosch was game each time out. His dedication to his craft has paid off as Bosch will be joining Jack Bohm-Squicciarini Jack Bohm-Squicciarini 6'4" | 215 lbs | WR Red Bank Catholic | 2024 NJ , lining up opposite him out wide for the Bucknell Bisons.

A prospect I have become quite familiar with. Bosch had his first breakout game of the season. In a tight game against Summit, Bosch got loose several times, slashing 13/240/2 through the air (nearly an 18.5 YPR average). Not to be outdone, he rushed twice for 38 yards and 1 score as well.

Woodbridge’s Bosch is a player that I have seen at almost each and every event I have been to. One of the silky-smoothest athletes any where he goes, Bosch registered a 4.14 second pro agility and a 4.53 second 40-yard dash. Beyond that, it was more of the same from what I have come to expect from the senior Barron. Bosch makes extremely sharp cuts with the ball in his hands, which are only to be rivaled by his crisp route running. He accelerates to top speed very quickly and has an uncanny ability to lull defenders to sleep on intermediate routes by how he manipulates his speed, allowing him to get open, gain angles, and amass plenty of YAC.

AJ Bosch is Woodbridge’s (not so secret) weapon. A soon to be senior receiver, AJ made a huge impact on the field as a runner and receiver. Rushing for 455 yards and 7 touchdowns and receiving 655 yards and another 8 touchdowns, AJ did it all for his team in 2022.  AJ is very impressive at the line. His first few steps shake corners out of position and gives him extra wiggle room for his QB to throw into. A technically sound route runner, AJ makes the QB’s job easy as he runs precise patterns and is rarely out of position. Defensively, AJ made his presence known with 2 interceptions to go along his 55 total tackles. AJ recently received an offer from Bucknell, but I am sure more offers are to come soon.

Bosch is another prospect that I have now seem a multitude of times in person as he works the camp circuit. Each time I see him not only am I impressed, but my prior evaluations on him are validated while he still manages to show me something new. Bosch might have been the most fluid and smooth receiver in-and-out of his breaks. He does not break stride and manages to create separation because of how sharp his routes are. Bosch does a nice job of shifting gears to lull defenders to sleep in the open space, only to turn on the jets to gain plenty of YAC. However, what I was most excited to witness Bosch do was win against press coverage. More than one DB called him out and tried to be physical with him at the line, but Bosch repeatedly showed that he can beat press coverage by working at least 3 or 4 different releases.

With 16 total touchdowns and 1,464 all purpose yards, it was hard for defenders to keep track of where AJ was on the field.  His first few steps off the line of scrimmage are extremely quick, and he is very precise in his route running. A very difficult combination to defend. AJ will play a major role as a slot receiver at the next level.

There are certain players who serve as the heartbeat for their team. These players often deliver big in a multitude of capacities to help their team win. Playing a little bit of RB, wildcat back, WR, and S, Bosch rushed 80 times for 455 yards and 7 TDs; he caught 40 passes for 655 yards and 8 TDs; he made 65 tackles, intercepted 2 passes and had 2 passes defended; and he also returned the ball 16 times for 354 yards and 1 TD. This totals to 1464 total yards and 16 total TDs.

Bosch does an exceptional job playing the ball when thrown to him and also tracking the ball’s flight in the air on deep passes. I would describe his speed as “nifty.” He does a great job changing speeds and manipulating subtle movements to find creases in the defense, get open, and leave opponents in the dust. Be also has shown to make catches through contact. I am curious to see how Bosch fairs when facing press coverage.
