Expert Analysis

David’s latest outing is another reason to believe he is one of the top talents the state has to offer. David and Co. torched the scoreboard this past weekend in a 34-6 rout, on his way to a two touchdown pass and a rushing score effort while also racking up 106 yards through the air.
His patience in the pocket is something else; calm as a veteran, he lofts dimes over coverage, hitting his receivers deep with pinpoint precision. Don’t sleep on his legs either; one highlight has him lowering the shoulder, trucking a defender into the turf to punch in a goal-line score, flashing that dual-threat grit. When the pocket collapses, he’s got the escapability to slide out, keep his eyes downfield, and still deliver the ball to his target while under duress. David’s decision-making is crisp, the arm is live, and this young gunslinger’s tape is screaming for more looks. Keep your eyes peeled, because David’s just getting warmed up.

I saw David most recently at the Next Combine in New Jersey this past December, and he immediately stood out with his quick delivery and the velocity he puts behind the ball. He shows strong situational awareness, seeing throwing lanes develop and delivering strikes to his receivers with speed, while proving accurate at all levels with good timing on his routes. Much like Austin, he’s been grinding in the offseason to keep improving, focusing on his footwork and ability to slide within the pocket. With his ability to stretch the field vertically, I’m excited to see more tape on him as the season unfolds.

David is already separating himself from the rest of the 2030 quarterback class—not just with his advanced size, but with the way he plays the position. His pocket movement is sharp and crisp, showing a natural feel and explosive footwork that had him looking right at home alongside some of the top 2029 QBs at the combine. Add in a big-time arm that can effortlessly drive the ball downfield, and it’s clear David is on a different trajectory at this stage of his development.

‘s page to watch his highlight tape and get a better sense of one of the top quarterbacks in New Jersey’s 2030 class. David has the potential to be highly sought after by the state’s top private schools.
He has a hair-trigger release, allowing him to zip the ball into tight windows with ease. His quick reaction time in the pocket and ability to deliver throws with impressive velocity make him stand out.
David excelled in all areas in 2024. He shined on short, intermediate, and deep routes, and I was particularly impressed with his downfield accuracy. Time and again, he placed the ball perfectly into his receiver’s extended hands—just beyond the reach of defenders—allowing them to continue toward the end zone without breaking stride.

Looking back at the 2024 season, there was not a more dominant team in North Jersey than the Wood-Ridge Blue Devils. Quarterback

was the straw that stirred the drink for the Bergen County team, as they ran roughshod through the Meadowlands football league, out scoring their opponents 252-12 in eight regular season games. The strong right arm of Ciliento Jr. continued to pace the Blue Devils in the playoffs and straight to the championship game, finishing the season with an unblemished 11-0 record.

, his 19/23 (82% completion percentage) for 594 yards, 9 passing touchdowns and 3 rushing touchdowns, may look kind of mundane. However, when you figure that his Wood-Ridge Blue Devil team outscored opponents 252-12 in eight games, it should put in to context how little passing opportunities he had. Fast forward to this current write up and the Blue Devils sit 10-0 and are a game away from winning the Meadowlands Football League championship this weekend (11/6). He has become a hot commodity for some of the top private schools in North Jersey and the future is blindingly bright for the Bergen County native.

is that I want to see more film of him playing, because in the short clips I have seen–he looks like a talent. The righty QB made several nice throws downfield while on the run, look mundane. Wood-Ridge finished 4-4 a year ago.
