Alex is a recent discovery of mine. By all accounts, Alex has been playing extremely well all season.

His tape showcases a ton of high-level safety play. The first play from his midseason tape shows Alex anticipating a pass, breaking on the WR, and running the ball back 100 yards for the pick-6. There, I really like the speed out of his initial break, then of course the 100-yards was fun to watch as well.

The rest of the tape displays a lot of great run support. When the sea parts and he’s suddenly 1on1 with an RB, Alex does a great job of attacking the RB and bringing him down quickly. As opposed to being hesitant and ultimately missing the tackle; something I see with a lot of safeties.
