I have been a big fan of Shane’s since seeing him this summer. I was impressed with Shane’s ability to stay engaged as a tightened even though he did not get the ball thrown his was much. Shane was a physical blocker and was able to get ends and linebackers out of position will good technique. I was also impressed with Shane on the defensive side of the ball. He was a menace from his defensive end spot and was very disruptive to the Adams offense all night. Shane plays with a very high motor and has an excellent first step that allowed his to get in the back field on multiple occasions. I walked away very impressed with Shane and his ability to affect the game in a variety of ways whether on the offensive or defensive side of the ball.

Shane came out to our event in the spring and really caught my eye. After doing some more homework, I really love his game. He is another that has no issue doing some dirty work as a road grading blocker, but he is undoubtedly at his best running across the middle and finding the soft spots in the zone. His instincts are great and he shows time and time again that he knows when to move, when to sit and how to attack the way defenses are playing him. Shane is an incredibly cerebral player that also has the physical tools to be a formidable challenge.

I left Southfield with a new level of respect for Shane’s game. He went out and demonstrated everything I wanted to see. Great release, good footwork and the ability to fight through contact. I would say his best attribute all day long was his hands. He was able to pluck the ball out of the air and secure some difficult catches. Great overall body type as well, with more room to continue growing in that area. Great overall day for Shane!
