played a key role in the Somerset offense as a freshman, catching 25 passes for 376 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games. He is very reliable in jump ball/contested catch situations, using his athleticism to attack passes at their highest point and strong hands to bring in catches through contact. Decker has also shown the ability to use his speed to create separation in the deep passing game. Alex will be a wide receiver prospect worth keeping an eye on as his role in the Somerset offense continues to grow over the next few seasons.

Decker brings good size and physicality to the group, on top of a winning pedigree. The multiple-time Regional Player of the Year nominee and Meece product, has won a lot of football games and hasn’t lost to Tennessee yet.

on the field. Decker contributed at wide receiver and was a big difference maker for the Bluegrass State on Saturday. Decker’s size, speed and toughness down the stretch greatly contributed Team Kentucky on the board during the 6th grade game and proved to be too much to handle for Team Tennessee’s defense. Decker was nearly unstoppable due to his overall versatility and game experience on both sides of the ball as he also plays as a defensive back. Another aspect of Decker’s game that impressed me was his ability to consistently best defenders down the stretch and find open field. Decker’s performance helped keep Team Kentucky’s offense on the field as he managed to pick up yards at crucial moments in the contest.
