Defensively, Ala-Meen racked up stats from the linebacker position with 35 tackles, 8.5 sacks and 2 interceptions. Ala-Meen could really play on either side of the ball at the next level. As if there is anything he is not asked to do, Watkins follows his blockers well when his number is called on a quarterback rush. In dominant fashion, Watkins had his most prolific output of the season. Not coincidentally, this was Plainfield’s most prolific offensive game as well. On the road at Monroe, the Cardinals’ quarterback was 19 of 27 for 388 yards as he threw for 4 touchdowns to no interceptions. Watkins also added 50 yards and a score on the ground and pitched in with 5 tackles in the 48-14 win.
