Akili is another WR/RB weapon out of this group that has position flexibility but built on the offenisve side of the ball. He’s swift around the edges and in the open field, yet still has the durability you want out out of your ball carrier downhill with upside to grow with his vision inside the inside box. The 6’1 180 pounder from Millard North is one that I feel could be a ideal fit as a slot reicever due to that position flexibility as one that is well-versed with speed and a long lower body running the jet-sweep.

wasted no time earning a starting spot for the Mustangs, with time spent at receiver and DB. Akili ended his frosh season with 23 receptions, 232 receiving yards, a receiving touchdown, and two tackles. My biggest takeaway from watching Akili, both in-person and on film, is that his speed is very underrated. He is very explosive getting off the ball and has the vertical speed to quickly slip past defenders for a deep shot downfield. Akili has shown that he isn’t just reliant on deep passes as he can also create after the catch and can be used on sweeps in the run game to get him going with space/blockers in front of him. Good hands and concentration to complete tough catches.
