One of the most noticeable leaps in Cuff’s development has been his quicker first step off the snap. In earlier seasons, he occasionally hesitated, allowing defenders a split-second advantage. Now, that initial burst is lightning-fast, enabling him to engage blocks sooner and disrupt defensive schemes right from the line of scrimmage. This improvement shines brightest when he’s pulling on run plays— he’s quicker to the edge, sealing off linebackers and creating lanes for his running backs with authority. Hand technique is often the make-or-break for offensive linemen at the next level, and Cuff has made strides here by developing more independent hands. Previously reliant on body positioning alone, he’s now punching with precision, keeping defenders at bay without drawing penalties. This has directly improved his handling of speed rushes; he no longer gets caught flat-footed against edge rushers, instead mirroring their movements and redirecting them past the pocket.

Perhaps the most impressive aspect of Cuff’s growth is his fortified lower body strength and drive. His base is noticeably stronger, allowing him to anchor against bull rushes and drive defenders out of the box on run blocks. This power enables him to get to the second level faster, where he can engage linebackers and safeties with pancake potential. And speaking of finishing— Cuff has adopted a relentless mindset, looking to bury blocks rather than just sustain them. It’s this finisher’s attitude that turns good plays into game-changers, and it’s a trait that’s evolved significantly from his earlier tape. These enhancements haven’t gone unnoticed. Cuff recently picked up a verbal offer from Yale on February 16, 2026; and is expected to grab more as the Spring/Summer unfolds.
