Ahmaan Thomas Ahmaan Thomas 6'4" | 270 lbs | OL Mansfield Senior | 2024 OH plays with a balance of size, speed and power to assert himself as a preeminent offensive tackle in Division III. Thomas is a flexible player at 6-foot-4 and 270-pounds to impress on his film. He is more athletic than most offensive linemen with power to back up his style of play. Delivers a good punch when blocking against the run. Good patience in pass protection to get his feet planted, deflect a defender’s incoming attack then drive them away from the pocket. Power comes from his lower body sitting with a good knee bend in pass pro to move fluidly. Moves to secondary blocking assignments when appropriate. Handles speedy blitzers with good form to take in contact then repel. Plays along the defensive line, shows a good use of leverage to get under pads at his height and extend through linemen. Picked up some good offers throughout the season, but his biggest to date came from Buffalo in October. I wouldn’t be surprised to see more offers come his way as a highly skilled tackle with good attributes.

After receiving his first DI offer before the start of the 2022 season, Ahmaan Thomas Ahmaan Thomas 6'4" | 270 lbs | OL Mansfield Senior | 2024 OH put together a body of work that was based off more than just his superior size. Standing a 6’4, Thomas is another guy that works well playing at the guard or tackle spot thanks to his use of his athleticism. Thomas is aggressive from the snap and extends his arms on ends to gain control quickly. Lining up on the right side of the line, Thomas is able to create an edge with control of the defender and putting guys on skates. Playing at the tackle position, Thomas shows good quickness from the guard position as well with the all-important first step and gets to his assignment to work his way upfield. Thomas’ size is what makes him an ideal linemen to jump up the ranks but his upper body strength as last season went on makes him a candidate for a major season.

In 2022, Ahmaan helped the Mansfield Senior Tygers to a 10-win season, average 27.1 points per game and advance to the 3rd round of the playoffs. He plays as a RT. While run blocking, he fires out low and quick as he gets to the perimeter on trap runs before sealing off the OLB as he creates a lane for the RB. In pass pro, he steps quickly to the inside and uses his very good play strength to overpower the DE with ease and prevent his man from pressuring the QB. Good mental toughness allows him to rise to the occasion near the goal line.
