is just a freshman- at 6’6 320 he is massive and uses his size to completely dominate the line of scrimmage. It’s extremely impressive watching Derico in pass protection- although he’s massive, he plays with terrific leverage, has dominant strength, and does a great job countering rush moves to shut down pass rushers on his side of the line of scrimmage.
Derico is equally impressive in the run game, he explodes off the line of scrimmage and works from defender to defender to open up wide rushing lanes for his teammates to capitalize off of. I think what impressed me most with Derico’s tape was how much of an asset he was on screen passes- he moves well in the open field and helps pave the way for massive plays.
