There are a couple of FBS offers under the belt for Derico, but I still think there is another level of recruitment still creeping up on him. He is a massive, broad player at 6’6 320 pounds. He is certainly a raw athlete who is still getting his feet under him and learning how to move. Regardless, he is a lot of mass to have to run through and a lot of length to have to run around. He works hard to leverage second-level defenders properly, and I like how he uses his hands when attacking pass rushers around the arc. Someone will take a chance on Derico, and he should only put out better tape from here.

I might have to see some ID, cause there is absolutely no way that Adrian Derico Adrian Derico 6'6" | 320 lbs | OL Briarwood Christian | 2028 State AL is just a freshman- at 6’6 320 he is massive and uses his size to completely dominate the line of scrimmage. It’s extremely impressive watching Derico in pass protection- although he’s massive, he plays with terrific leverage, has dominant strength, and does a great job countering rush moves to shut down pass rushers on his side of the line of scrimmage.

Derico is equally impressive in the run game, he explodes off the line of scrimmage and works from defender to defender to open up wide rushing lanes for his teammates to capitalize off of. I think what impressed me most with Derico’s tape was how much of an asset he was on screen passes- he moves well in the open field and helps pave the way for massive plays.
