If you haven’t heard, the 4A football co-op SMB has some serious talent coming up the pipeline, and coming up fast I may add. With the Wolfpack’s superstar 2030 QB Carter Cupito Carter Cupito 5'11" | 150 lbs | QB St. Paul/Minnehaha/Blake | 2030 MN set to walk out of the summer as arguably the state’s biggest winner, it’s important to remember that a QB can only be as good as his receivers allow him to be. Lucky for SMB, the Wolfpack are home to some serious WR talent, with 2029 WR/TE Adam Regino Adam Regino 6'3" | 205 lbs | WR/TE Minnehaha Academy | 2029 State MN challenging the pack in terms of recruiting ceiling. At this past April’s heralded UA Chicago Combine, Regino measured in at 6’3, 206 lbs., and the standout freshman popped off a 4.99 laser 40, 1.82 laser 10, 4.63 shuttle, 100.0” broad (8’3″), and 23” vert.

Those promising athletic numbers also help put into context Regino’s standout freshman campaign with the Wolfpack in MN’s Class 4A ranks. The WR/TE hybrid earned serious varsity tick in his first year in high school, as he was a legit three-phase impact player with significant varsity reps on offense, defense (LB against BSM in section semis), and special teams, where he excelled on kickoff coverage. Regino displayed a big catch radius that can reel in receptions while both fully extended and in traffic, and his soft hands consistently catch the rock away from his body, no matter the situation. Especially for a freshman, and especially given the leanness, Regino impressed us with his contact balance from the 2025 season. Strong lower body that can step through weaker tackle attempts impressively easy for a then-freshman, and his nimble feet also flash some juice in the open field in his cuts. Regino can drop his hips, cut at top speed, and plant smoothly in space, showing off some open field elusiveness that’s rare to see from a young buck at the varsity level of competition. Plus, this 2029er is an effective blocker from an inline TE or when flexed out, productive in kickoff coverage as a tackler, blocked a punt versus Richfield in impressive fashion, and is asset in man coverage from his LB spot. Easily undercuts passes and uses those natural ball skills to his advantage, and he also made a toe-tapping snag while his QB was on the run, showing off some body awareness and control on the offensive side of the ball as well. Talk about a bright future!
