Morales put together an excellent sophomore season in 2025, his first as the starter for Country Day. He has an impressive arm and will showcase a wide array of throws on any given Friday night. The rising junior doesn’t have many designed runs, but when he’s under pressure, he likes to escape and pick up positive yardage. There was a lot to like from the Buccaneers’ quarterback, and he should take a step forward this season.

Everything Morales does on a football field is smooth and calm, from the way he commands a huddle to his footwork in the pocket to his easy, compact throwing motion. The ball jumps off his hand, and he can generate plenty of power with relative ease. He’s got plenty of playmakers at Country Day, and he’s more than willing to throw to a spot and let his receivers track the ball down.

Morales is one of a trio of talented Country Day sophomores who made our rankings. His touch and ball placement, even under pressure, are excellent, allowing him to succeed on throws to all parts of the field. He’s able to manipulate his arm angle to create space in the pocket while maintaining accuracy. And he’s getting better as the season has progressed, a good sign for a young passer.
