The 6’2, 260 lb. Kasson-Mantorville two-way senior lineman was a captain in 2022 and is nasty and effective at the point of attack and especially when he has a full head of steam on him. As a defensive lineman, Nelson is strategic and and impressive with his hand usage to disengage from blocks and sometimes not even allow the OL to get a hand on him, and offensively he’s got pop, good pad level, and works aggressively to finish and physically dominant the man in front of him at that play. He’s particularly strong as a puller and laid some big hits over the course of 2022 and his career. Morningside offered the senior this fall.
