Unfortunately, Berman suffered an injury that cut his junior season short. He’s worked hard to get back into the position to be able to come out and compete this offseason. He showed off his blend of get-off, athleticism, and power. At 6’3 290 pounds he has the ability to shoot to get skinny and shoot the gap, but he also has the strength to bully the blocker into the backfield. It’s easy to see why he has MAC offers and is getting P4 interest from the likes of Missouri, Pitt, and Indiana. I’d be surprised if some of that P4 interest didn’t turn into offers this offseason.

Berman’s season was cut short due to an injury after eight weeks, but the interior defensive tackle proved his worth during his all-important junior season. Berman is a very versatile (he has played both inside and outside up front, although he primarily aligns as a defensive tackle) and very disruptive player who can ragdoll quarterbacks when he comes free.

Elijah is a perfect fit in Chaminade Julienne’s double wing offense. He is a very mobile guard who is effective climbing to the 2nd level, pulling and trapping. He can get out of his stance fast to seal off any defender with the strength and finishing ability to drive them to the ground. Being in a run heavy offense, his film did not include any pass pro clips. Although in run blocking I can confidently say that he is good in-line and even more impressive when he gets out in-space. His play strength and power are very obvious just by watching a couple clips of his film. With him still having 2 more seasons of high school football with his size and strength, I am excited to see him get even stronger and more dominant in the run game.

Elijah Berman Elijah Berman 6'3" | 300 lbs | DL Chaminade Julienne | 2026 OH is a problem in the making for offensive lineman. A defensive lineman with an arsenal of moves at his disposal, Berman displays a high ceiling of potential along the defensive front. He was quick, strong, but most importantly a smart player coming off the snap. Shows the ability to process what an offensive lineman gives him and react. Weaponizes his arms to knock leaning defenders. Quick hips to execute smooth spin moves few linemen can stop. Shows good instincts from the snap. Strong footwork to get a clean push off with power to drive his body forward. A fun player to watch with room to grow still, Berman has the motor you want to see in a budding defensive star. Showed a lot at the showcase and will no doubt be a name we hear a lot more next fall.
