Standout Linebackers from the AVC Mega Football Camp, Part II

First we will review offensive and defensive prospects that shined during the combine, athletes who appear physically ready to play college football, and conclude with positional breakdowns of the talent on-hand. These breakdowns are only from my subjective on-site observations. seen and covered Rosario in the past, I have come to known him to be a safety; however, according to my on-field notes (which may be erroneous), he took spins at linebacker. Never the less, Rosario stood out to me as an extremely physical defender regardless of where he lined up or what his assignment was. Rosario jams his matchup effectively and does not give any cheap-and-easy releases. I was throughly impressed with Rosario's recovery speed. In the few instances where a receiver did get behind him, he closed space and worked himself into position to disrupt the pass. He did a nice job picking up his feet without touching anything, bending corners without losing speed, and finishing drills. He was a bit vocal as well, cheering on and imploring his fellow linebackers to preform their best. At linebacker the have Rodriguez. I caught glimpses of Rodriguez during indy, particularly during agility drills, where he looked exceedingly sharp. He turned cones nearly at full speed yet managed to avoid rounding them, opting for sharp cuts instead. He moved his feet well on agility bags and avoided contact too. With an extremely solid build for a linebacker (6'1u0022 200lbs), George's physique was well defined and approaching jacked. Watching him during indy, George's agility is what stood out to me. If he was any closer to the cone, he would have touched it. In fact, George bent corners so tight I felt as if he could have knocked them over if he just breathed on it. He exploded and finished each and every drill as well. Perhaps what impressed me the most about George was his ability to bend. The Morris County product did a great job of maintaining his speed throughout each and every drill he participated in. He did not slow down very much and made tight cuts in just about every movement he made.
