2020 All Kansas City Football Team Offense (Underclassmen)
In this article:
There are so many worthy players who deserve recognition and more articles will be coming soon about these underclassmen who fought through one of the craziest seasons ever in high school football. Some of these players were able to play a full schedule while others lost games to COVID rules. As a former player and scout, but as a coach and a father, thank you all for battling each and every week.
For those of you not on this list, you are not being overlooked. You just need to decide how bad you want to be on this team next year and make Prep Redzone take notice of your game.
QB Jack Mosh, St. Pius X (2022)– Not only is Mosh a top-flight football player but he is one of the premier baseball players in the state. Mosh has elite arm talent and is ab exceptional leader, even at a young age. St. Pius X should make a title run in 2021 with Mosh at the helm.
RB Wentric Williams III Wentric Williams III 5'11" | 185 lbs | RB Liberty KC | 2022 State MO , Liberty (2022)– Williams III tore up opponents in 2020 by using speed, the ability to set up blocks and finishing all his runs with effort. A week 3 MVP, the junior runner is only getting better and college coaches are taking notice.
RB Zahmari Gary, Raytown (2022)– A threat to score anytime the football is in his grasp, Gary is lightning quick and has God-given burst. His ability to go from stopped to full speed is incredible. Another former weekly MVP, Gary’s recruiting will be on the uptick, especially as a returner, very soon.
RB Robbie Sharp, St. Pius X (2022)– A power-packer ball of explosives, Sharp hits the hole with power and grinds hard for extra yards on all his carries. Sharp does not go down on leg tackles and due to his compact stature, rarely takes a hit full on. Sharp is another key returning piece for St. Pius X in 2021.
WR Jaidyn Doss, Ray-Pec (2023)– I personally believe Doss may be the most complete athlete in the state and his performance on the gridiron in 2020 was that of a true champion. A total difference maker, Doss changes the game plan for defensive coordinators with his world-class speed, elusiveness and big play ability. Doss will be the highest nationally ranked player in Missouri to ever get recruited. A top ten player in the country.
WR Caden Dennis, Liberty (2022)– Dennis has the size, length and hands to not only be all-KC but a rising recruit. Whether he has the football in his hands as a receiver, runner or returner, the junior is a weapon on the field. Add his four picks from the defensive side of the football and you can see what college coaches will be excited about.
WR Rhett Foster, Smithville (2022)– The 6’2 1/2 junior has a speedy release off the line of scrimmage, tracks the football well in the air and snatches the football out of the air. Foster is a precise route runner and sets up his routes well using quickness and dropping his weight out of breaks. Foster is an ascending player in 2021.
TE Tucker Miller, Ray-Pec (2022)– Another weapon from the state champions, Miller is a tough matchup for linebackers and safeties, especially down the seams. An improving run blocker, once Miller adds size and strength to his impressive frame, the junior is going to be a wanted player in the college ranks.
OL Easton Lewis, Lee’s Summit West (2022)– Wide load in a good way, Lewis’ game is all about power and leverage. Once the massive man locks up the defender, game over. Lewis plays center with a powerful base, is quick to snap and snatch the defender and loves to finish the defender to the ground.
OL Chris Frye, Lincoln College Prep (2022)– Frye is an athlete playing offensive line. He has outstanding foot quickness, especially laterally and in space. There are some technical issues to Frye’s game that can be easily corrected but once he locks on and drives a defender, his toughness and effort are unquestioned. HUGE upside!
OL Michael Capria, Liberty (2022)– The junior is a tone setter with his leadership qualities and ferociousness on the field. Capria is a technician who is light on his feet, excellent is space and drops his weight well to make and secure the block. Future guard/center combo in college.
OL Cade Limback, Lafayette County (2023)– Explosive and quick out of his stance, the massive young man is already ahead of schedule in his physical development. For a sophomore to play under control and with the power he displays, Limback is already a must have for Power 5 schools.
I do not include Illinois players in the St. Louis area nor do I include Kansas in these but OL Nick Herzog, Blue Valley (2022) & WR Mekhi Miller, Blue Valley North (2022) are special talents.
