Continue ReadingPrep Redzone Louisiana will release its updated 2025 rankings this week, with some notable new additions and risers entering their junior seasons.
Leading up to the complete, 200-player list on Thursday, we will count down the top 30 in more detail.
And make sure to check back throughout the week following the release for additional features.
10. Jaylon Coleman Jaylon Coleman 5'9" | 160 lbs | ATH Vandebilt Catholic | 2025 State LA | 5-9, 160 ATH | Vandebilt Catholic
Holding steady at the position for the second straight rankings update, Coleman kicks off this list as well as a run of dynamic offensive weapons. The Terriers’ multisport standout is an explosive and elusive athlete as a running back, slot receiver or return man that continues to get stronger and more confident than ever as he prepares for his junior season. Oregon, Texas A&M, Florida State and Ole Miss appear to have moved to the forefront of his recruiting process and a long list of offers that should continue to grow as other Power-Five programs get a closer look this fall.
9. Russell Babineaux Russell Babineaux 5'9" | 160 lbs | ATH Acadiana | 2025 State LA | 5-9, 160 WR | Acadiana
Another quick, speedy offensive and return-game weapon holds steady at No. 9. Babineaux earned all-district recognition as a freshman and has continued to develop into even more of a handful for opposing defenders to try to contain as he’s gotten stronger and, on top of his route-running and the threat of screens and other quick hits, has shown some ability to go up and get the ball.
8. TaRon Francis TaRon Francis 6'1" | 190 lbs | WR Edna Karr | 2025 State LA | 6-1, 190 WR | Edna Karr
The “ManChild” is difficult to miss from the moment the Cougars take the field. Francis fits right into the dynamic nature of the team’s receiving corps with track star Rahji “Roadrunner” Dennis as the top-ranked rising senior, but also possesses a thicker, more muscular frame that stands out not only for Edna Karr, but among his peers elsewhere. He already holds a slew of major college offers, but still appears poised for what could be considered a breakout junior year with more opportunities expected this fall.
7. Corey Amos Corey Amos 6'3" | 205 lbs | LB Opelousas | 2025 State LA | 6-3, 205 LB | Opelousas
The Tigers’ explosive and quick pass-rusher makes one of the biggest leaps in the latest Prep Redzone Louisiana rankings after seeing him on multiple occasions this spring and summer. Amos is a long, lean athlete who flies off the edge as a disruptive force to opposing quarterbacks and ball-carriers, but looks just as comfortable dropping back and helping cover receivers in the passing game. Penn State, Ole Miss, Nicholls State, Mississippi State and Miami kicked off his recruitment this winter and early spring, and Missouri, Tulane and Grambling State followed in May.
6. Brett Bordelon Brett Bordelon 6'5" | 315 lbs | OL Isidore Newman | 2025 State LA | 6-5, 280 OL | Isidore Newman
The lone committed prospect in Louisiana’s 2025 class, an early LSU pledge, moves back up another few positions to No. 6 in the new Prep Redzone Louisiana rankings. Bordelon is a big, physical blocker — or two-way lineman for his Greenies — who is already nearly as big as older brother Bo after a year in Baton Rouge, moves well and carries himself with a confidence and maturity of a young leader for his team and his class.
5. Tre Fuller Tre Fuller 6'2" | 180 lbs | DB Captain Shreve | 2025 State LA | 6-2, 180 DB | Captain Shreve
Fuller holds steady at No. 5 after a solid offseason consistently showing his feel for the game and huge chunks of the field he can cover on the back end of the defense with his anticipation, speed and length. Louisiana Tech, Louisville, Colorado, Florida State, Missouri, Houston, SMU and McNeese State have been among the newer offers for the Captain Shreve standout, joining an early list that included Mississippi State, ULM, Grambling State and Tulsa.
4. James Simon James Simon 6'0" | 200 lbs | RB Calvary Baptist | 2025 State LA | 6-0, 200 RB | Calvary Baptist
The Cavaliers’ star running back continues climbing the ranks with another move up from No. 8 earlier this year to No. 4. Simon packs impressive quickness and burst in one of the bigger, thicker frames of Louisiana’s special 2025 running back class, and he showed throughout the spring and summer his high-level receiving ability all-around that will be an even more prominent asset at the next level.
3. Keylan Moses Keylan Moses 6'2" | 215 lbs | ATH University Lab | 2025 State LA | 6-2, 215 ATH | University Lab
Moses has been one of the unquestioned stars of Louisiana’s 2025 class since before even beginning high school and has lived up to high expectations and spotlight throughout his freshman and sophomore years. He has excelled as a disruptive rusher off the edge, but also shown the athleticism and speed to run with smaller, quicker receivers in coverage. And the development of his demeanor and voice as a leader during the past year — even for a young athlete always considered among the leaders in his respective age range — has been noticeable.
2. Jaboree Antoine Jaboree Antoine 6'2" | 180 lbs | DB Westgate | 2025 State LA | 6-2, 180 DB | Westgate
The next star coming out of WAMPville — the versatile nickname for Westgate High in New Iberia — moves up another spot to No. 2 in the class entering junior year. Antoine is every bit the tall, long and physical frame advertised on the roster, playing aggressively and tenaciously with the versatility to play anywhere in the secondary. And his already-strong feel for the game and level of anticipation only figures to be aided by all his work as his team’s starting quarterback.
1. Harlem Berry Harlem Berry 5'11" | 175 lbs | RB St. Martin's | 2025 State LA | 5-11, 165 RB | St. Martin’s
And, for the second straight recruiting update, Berry holds down the fort atop the list. There’s a reason why the running back from the little private school in Metairie holds offers from most of the nation’s top football programs. Berry is a special combination of all the attributes a coach would look for in a prospect from his vision and footwork to his all-around athleticism, strength, balance, breakaway speed, receiving ability and on down the list. He’s been prolific through the first half of his high school career, and the horizon only appears to hold that much more.
