Here’s a look at the more than 60 student-athletes we know with varying high school football backgrounds — including several notable Division-I prospects — who scored points for their teams in the meet.

One of the state’s top football prospect won the shot put with a school-record 53-01.00 distance.

The Cougars’ standout wide receiver, aptly nicknamed “Cheetah,” won the 100-meter dash (10.68), finished second in the 200-meter dash (21.38) and ran legs of the second-place 4×400-meter relay (3:20.81) and third-place 4×200-meter relay (1:27.90) teams.
Na’Ryan Delone — 5-6, 160 WR/RB — Glen Oaks (2024)
The Outstanding Performer in the Class 3A boys meet, who played football prior to his senior year, helped his Panthers rack up 38 points toward their championship total with his wins in the 200-meter (21.13) and 400-meter (47.16) dashes, his second-place 100-meter dash (10.75) and his leg of the winning 4×200-meter relay (1:26.84).
Dylan Callahan — 6-1, 175 WR/DB — Iota (2024)
The senior won the 300-meter hurdles (39.38), finished second in the 110-meter hurdles (15.44) and ran legs of the fourth-place 4×100-meter relay (42.35) and seventh-place 4×400-meter relay (3:35.79) teams.

Another multisport standout for the champion Panthers, Gros won the long jump (21-03.50) and led off the winning 4×200-meter relay (1:26.84).

The Southern University-bound wide receiver finished third in the 100-meter dash (10.85) and long jump (21-01.50) and ran a leg of the third-place 4×100-meter relay (42.16).
Khel Arvie — 6-1, 165 DB — Lake Charles College Prep (2025)
Arvie finished second in the 800-meter run (1:02.21) and led off the winning 4×400-meter relay (3:20.50) and second-place 4×800-meter relay (8:14.67) teams to help rack up 26 points for the runner-up Blazers.
Ayden Carter — 5-6, 160 RB/WR — Lake Charles College Prep (2027)
The freshman led off the first-place 4×100-meter relay (41.60) and second-place 4×200-meter relay (1:27.46) teams and finished third in 200-meter dash (21.89) and seventh in the 100-meter dash (11.21).
Kai Fontenot — Lake Charles College Prep (2027)
Another talented freshman for the Blazers, Fontenot ran a leg of the first-place 4×100-meter relay (41.60) and anchored the second-place 4×200-meter relay (1:27.46) and finished fourth in the 200-meter dash (21.99) and sixth in the 100-meter dash (11.16) on a productive day.
Christopher Jackson — 6-0, 150 DB — Glen Oaks (2024)
Jackson helped added more than 20 points to the Panthers’ title total with his second and third place finishes in the long jump (21-01.50) and triple jump (44-05.50), respectively, and his leg of the third-place 4×400-meter relay (3:22.38).
Catron Hargrove — 6-0, 160 QB/ATH — Glen Oaks (2025)
Another big point scorer for the champion Panthers, Hargrove finished second in the 400-meter run (48.52) and anchored the winning 4×200-meter relay (1:26.84) and third-place 4×400-meter relay (3:22.38) teams.
Aries Lewis — 6-6, 185 WR — Port Allen (2024)
The Pelicans’ basketball star, with some football on his high school resume as well, wrapped up his career with a gold medal in the Class 3A high jump (6-08.00).

The Raiders’ defensive tackle finished second in both the shot put (49-05.75) and the discus (147-01.00).

Morrison joined Jones as an event winner for the Cougars with his 15.29-second 110-meter hurdles and also finished ninth in the 300-meter hurdles (43.90).
