The fact that Cody doesn’t have his first offer yet, is a little absurd in my eyes. The 6’6 260 pounder from Tea Area, has a rapidly fast first step for that ideal frame and certainly rolling the tape from a year, ago it sticks out like a sore thumb. He shows consistently he can win reps with his strength and is not an offensive linemen you want to meet on the second level. Cody has the upside that D2 and D1 offensive line coaches talk about all the time as the first one in my eyes should have one or muliple offers by the end of June.

Growth spurts help in recruitment, no question about it but holy smokes do I love too how much growth I have seen in Cody Petersen Cody Petersen 6'6" | 250 lbs | OL Tea Area | 2026 State SD ‘s footwork since our last update. The 6’6 250 pounder out of Tea Area comes out of his stance with exciting downhill force and has the finishing technique that I strive to see out of all offensive linemen. His smooth body control shows off elusive movement that shows off quickly seen dexterity with his ability to twist and turn with his hands and feet. Cody is a certified road-grader that shows off persistently well-seen pad-level and one you will constantly see as a pull-blocker deep into the second level. If you see his name on your camp rosters this summer, you will want to pay close attention as he is one of my favorite offensive linemen targets to come out of Tea Area since we launched in 2020. Nearly a 3.9 GPA too, so you won’t have a worry academically with this young man. Another 2026 SD prospect amongst our stockrisers up 16 spots to #5 overall.
