Hooker looks to make a splash at Pryor where he transferred this spring. Hooker looks poised to make a splash at Pryor after transferring to the Tigers this spring. With Pryor’s offensive scheme, I expect the coaching staff to find creative ways to get the football in his hands and let his playmaking ability take over. I had the opportunity to watch Hooker firsthand at the University of Oklahoma Football Camp, where he consistently ran crisp routes and competed on every rep. What stands out most is his ability as a route runner. Hooker does a great job creating separation and finding open space, giving his quarterback a reliable target. His athleticism and ability to make plays with the football should add another dimension to the Tigers’ offense. I’m excited to see how Pryor utilizes Hooker this season and the impact he can make in his new home.

2027 wide receiver and Oklahoma State commit Cooper Hooker Cooper Hooker 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR Pryor | 2027 State OK moved to Pryor from Salina for his senior season and he gives the Tigers one of the top playmakers in the state for their offense. Last season, Hooker returned from a leg injury during his sophomore year and was our Comeback Player Of The Year after he caught 50 passes for nearly 900 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also returned multiple kicks for scores and had a pair of rushing touchdowns. Simply put, anytime Hooker has the ball in his hands, he’s going to be a threat to score from anywhere on the field. We are fired up to see what he does against 5A competition this season.

Wide receiver Cooper Hooker Cooper Hooker 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR Pryor | 2027 State OK came back with a vengeance in 2025. After suffering a leg injury in 2024, Hooker was the runaway winner for Comeback Player Of The Year in 2025. He helped lead the Wildcats to the quarterfinals and was one of the best players in Class 2A-2 last season. Hooker has been one of the top wide receivers in the state’s 2027 class for a while now and has climbed up to the top spot in the latest ranking update. And we’re fired up to see him take the field again this fall. Hooker recently made the move from Salina to Pryor and will spend his senior season competing against 5A competition this season.

Simply put, he’s going to help whatever program he ends up at. Hooker understands that he has to work so much harder to get looks over some of the other 2027 wide receivers in this class. But we’ll just throw this out there. Watch him in person or even on film. It doesn’t matter what the setting is. It could be one of our camps or 7v7 tournaments. It could be an elite prospect camp at OU. It could be under the Friday night lights. Hooker is consistently one of the best players on any field he steps on. He’s a prospect that deserves more respect.

Earlier in the preview, we mentioned how Salina missed arguably their best playmaker last season for part of the year. Simply put, Hooker is one of the more dynamic football players in the state and it’s insane how underrated he is as a true prospect for the next level. We’ve seen Hooker quite a bit in each of the last few offseasons and on film with the pads on. Every time we’ve seen him, he’s one of the top players on the field. He intends to be just that again this fall.

Salina wide receiver Cooper Hooker Cooper Hooker 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR Pryor | 2027 State OK is a prospect on our shortlist for comeback players to watch in 2025. Now, it should be mentioned that Hooker was able to get back on the field earlier than anticipated in 2024 but he had what could have been a season-ending injury early on in the season. But when he’s healthy, Hooker is one of the more dynamic small school wide receivers in the state. He proved that when he was just a freshman. He was incredibly dangerous on the offensive side of the ball and he also turned into a massive threat in the return game. We’re looking forward to seeing what he’s able to do with another full season of healthy football. Because every time we’ve seen him in person, he’s routinely one of the top players in the state. Hooker is a game changer that is flying under the radar right now but shouldn’t as we look ahead to this fall.
