Stallworth was a four year varsity starter for Yuma Catholic and led the state in tackles as a senior with 201 including 117 solo, 18 TFL, and 10 sacks. The 6’0” 185 lb. linebacker still has room to grow into his frame and add mass without sacrificing his athleticism and movement skills. Highly instinctual with good anticipation he’s got a great nose for the football to play the whole field. Aggressive at the POA, he’s a violent tackler that explodes at the contact point to finish ball carriers to the ground. Rocky Stallworth is a do-it-all linebacker for a strong Yuma Catholic defense. He’s the type of player who will not only fill a gap but initiate the contact when he meets the ball carrier, while also being smart and agile in coverage. Stallworth’s ability to effortlessly shed blocks and disrupt plays before they can develop completely ruins opponents’ offensive gameplans, often forcing them to either double-team him or avoid him altogether. (Not that those tactics are enough to stop him.) The Yuma Catholic linebacker led the entire state of Arizona in tackles with 156; but what’s even more impressive is that if you took away all of his assisted tackles and left only his solo, he’d still be in the top 15 for 4A. His nine sacks were enough to lead the 4A West Valley, and as if that production wasn’t enough, Stallworth also serves as the team’s long snapper.

Excellent defensive football player that plays bigger than his 6’0” 170 lb. and has a knack for making game changing plays in big moments. He’s an instinctual LB with a high football IQ to read and react to plays as they are developing. Limits wasted movement by being patient with his read steps but has a quick trigger to break on the ball and close space. Great athleticism and movement skills to be equally effective as a run filler or dropping back into zone coverage. Shows high level technique and fundamentals, especially as a tackler. Takes good angles in pursuit, can drop his hip level to break down in space, and accelerates his feet through contact at the POA. Racked up 163 total tackles as a junior and his only real knock is his size but he could easily transition to a Safety at the college level.

finished last season with 163 total tackles, and is clearly a very refined linebacker. Technically sound in every aspect of his game, he makes it look effortless on the field. Stallworth consistently makes great reads, which end up leading to negative plays for the opposing offense. As a sound tackler, it’s hard to get away from him once he has you within reach. He shows terrific burst in coverage and it allows him to stick with receivers for a while when he needs to. Seeing him covering passes shows just how versatile a player he can be. Where he really stands out is his physicality; Stallworth is an incredibly powerful player who’s not afraid to sacrifice his body to make a big play for his defense. Already viewed as a leader on a very stout Yuma Catholic defense, Stallworth is set up for a stand-out senior season.
