Since that was posted, some of those QBs went on to have fantastic seasonal performances for their team. This year, I would like to do the same except I will be doing offensive players AND defensive players as a collective for the class of 2027. Today, we will be looking at some offensive players from the class of 2027 coming into their freshman season.
One of the top state guards in the class of 2027, Brady Hull Brady Hull 6’3″ | 280 lbs | OL Pulaski County | 2027 State KY has a lot to work with regarding his towering body physique and playing talent. Brady is already 6’1 & 265 lbs as an 8th grader and shows his dominant strength on the field. Brady uses his lower body strength to propel himself toward the opposing tackle and slams him down with little difficulty. His light footwork enables him to laterally shift quicker than most tackles his size and can react more quickly to incoming pressure. Since he also plays as a defensive tackle, he has excellent hand skills to help him use his upper body strength to prevent defenders from sliding past him. Coming into his freshman season, Brady should already be on watch as a top offensive lineman recruit for his class.

Kade is the younger brother of Kenyon Goodin Kenyon Goodin 6’3″ | 185 lbs | ATH Martha Layne Collins | 2023 State KY , another highly-rated prospect I covered a lot previously. It seems that High School Football talent still runs in the family as Kade continues to have that same athleticism and similar traits to his brother. I like Kade’s ability to create spacing as a runner. Although he is listed as a primary receiver, he has taken plenty of snaps at halfback and is amazing at exploiting the defensive gaps and accelerating to full speed in an instant to break out onto the open field. Kade’s lateral movements are excellent as well, thanks to his fantastic footwork as a runner/receiver. Lastly, Goodin’s athleticism for his age is underappreciated as he can run just as fast and jump as high as a 4yr varsity player. With Kenyon’s recent success in accepting a scholarship to play at Division 1 school Army, Kade will look to do the same and I think he has more than it takes to do the job.
Fisher Brinegar Fisher Brinegar 6’5″ | 280 lbs | OL Moody | 2027 AL is another strong offensive lineman prospect who towers over his 8th-grade opponents. The 2027 prospect currently listed at 6’4 & 280lbs, uses his body & strength to easily bulldoze opposing defenders. Specifically, Fisher’s upper body strength enables him to push back multiple defenders in one pile to prevent anyone from breaking through. Additionally, Brinegar’s stamina when blocking is superior to most offensive linemen his age and others a few years ahead of him. Watch him develop into an elite high school tackle for Mayfield High School in the coming years.

Bryce is an exciting dual-threat QB prospect that can beat you with his cannon of an arm, and with his legs running the football. Holbrook has an extremely strong arm for his age, being able to sling 40-yard passes without much momentum from his lower half, and his throws on the run produce a similar distance. His throwing angle is textbook alongside his stellar footwork for the QB position. What amazes me the most is his running ability. Bryce has the running mechanics of a natural running back and is fast as lightning once he gets to full speed with the ball. Although Bryce has already shown his highly advanced talent as an 8th grade, the potential for him to develop into a top-tier QB in the state of Kentucky can easily be seen here. Make sure to check him out this upcoming 2023 football season.

Carlo is an exciting wide receiver prospect coming out of Louisa, Kentucky. Carlo excels at creating his own yards after the catch. As a receiver, it is crucial to find ways to get open, so it is easier for the QB to make a throw to you. Not only does Carlo effectively do this with his fantastic lateral route running, but what really shines is his ability to gain extra yards once he completes the catch. After Carlo receives the football, his quick & shifty footwork allows him to quickly juke past incoming defenders and use his fast acceleration to speed past them. Furthermore, Chiko can take a few hits before he gets fully tackled onto the ground. Carlo is a great prospect to keep watch as he will soon develop into one of the more elite receivers in his state receiver class.
