It’s hard to decipher what position Brinegar will permanently line up at but as of right now, he looks terrific at RG. Standing at 6’5 280 Brinegar has terrific size and can physically dominate the defensive linemen that line across him. Brinegar plays with a ton of strength, power, and leverage and is a force in the run game. He easily opens up lanes at the line of scrimmage and has the athleticism to move around the field and make key blocks at the second level. It’s really impressive watching Brinegar move around the field, at his size he has a ton of agility and can open up some massive plays downfield for his teammates. Be sure to watch Brinegar this season, he has a ton of talent and is heading into a big sophomore season for Moody’s offense!

Brinegar transfers to Moody from Kentucky and gifts the Blue Devils with good size and high upside. He comes in at 6’5 290 and is more than equipped in the length category. He is still thin and has room to grow. As an athlete, he can lumber a bit in the open field and is still growing into his frame, as we often see in younger guys at his size. Still, he plays with good discipline in his eyes and always appears to ID his assignments well, even when leaking out to the second level. When battling for leverage against defenders, he plays with good effort and will drive through the whistle. While he is still growing mechanically, his effort and strength should allow him to see the field while he grows. He already holds an offer from Eastern Kentucky and should continue to generate D1 buzz as he grows into his frame and gets better mechanically.

rnAlso worth mentioning is , an offensive lineman at Mayfield High School. In addition to excellent size and speed off the snap, what impresses me about Brinegar is his ability to absorb and bottle up pressure, showing off his ability to protect his quarterback and ensure the offense has enough time to push into enemy territory. I also like how Brinegar can blast the defensive line in the pocket, creating major disruption as well as solid space for his teammates to rush into the backfield.

rnComing in at number five on my list is , an offensive lineman at Mayfield High School. Brinegar and the Cardinals collected a close 53-48 win over Owensboro Catholic in the Class 2A title game this past week. What makes Brinegar so impactful at the line is his size, speed and ability to win one-on-one matchups with the defensive line. On top of excellent blocking power and the ability to quickly overwhelm the defense, Brinegar showcased his ability to absorb pressure and create disorganization in the pocket to open up the field for the rush.

rnComing in at number five on my list is , an offensive lineman at Mayfield High School. Brinegar and the Cardinals collected a 31-28 win over Beechwood to secure a spot in the championship game against Owensboro Catholic. Brinegar stands out with his quick execution off the snap and ability to exert his strength to stun the defense and prolong the offense’s time of possession. Brinegar also impresses me with his ability to absorb pressure and create disorganization in the pocket to open up the field for the rush.
