Bell offers some position flexibility, but he will project on the interior long-term. and could even generate some C buzz if he is short of his listed 6’4. Everything starts with his first step. He is explosive off the snap and has some pop at the point of attack, which I believe will improve as he gets stronger. He has good foot speed, helping him recover against contact and work hard to displace. Bell is quick, has some pop in his pads, and plays hard. There’s some upside here as well as he inches closer to the 300-pound mark.

Hudson Bell is a talented OL from Pell City that I think will have a huge senior season in front of him this fall.

“Bell is an aggressive OT who will work tirelessly every snap to provide huge blocks up front for his teammates. At 6’4 270, Bell is big, explodes off the line, and has a mean punch and great leverage that he uses to put DL on their heels and blast them off the ball. He’s seriously impressive as a run blocker, consistently winning at the line and having the mobility to continue to create more space for his teammates from level to level.

Bell is also impressive in pass protection. I’m impressed with his lateral quickness at his size, and think he’s shown he can counter and dominate certain pass rushers with relative ease. No matter what he has to do, you can count on him playing through the whistle and making life harder on opposing defensive linemen.”

I loved what I saw in Bell’s film and am hearing his name is getting out there more and more in the recruiting world. We’re all going to have to watch for him going forward. He’s got a big year ahead.
