For those who are not aware this District had four teams reach the state playoffs and the Patriot Pioneers losing in the Regional Finals to eventual champion Freedom High School. Below is part 2 of the rising juniors in the Cedar Run District:
Aidan McClaferty
Aidan McClaferty
A game changer for the Cardinals last season, McClaferty may be that dude for Gainesville in 2023. What stands out the most is his long stride and how he pulls away from defenders no matter where he is on the field. Already clocked in at a 4.6 40 McClafterty possesses the speed and length for the next level, now its time for him to take the next step.

Wyatt Bach
Wyatt Bach
A two way starter returns for Gainesville, Bach makes plays opposite of McClaferty at wide receiver, what was more impressive were his skills at defensive back. The rising junior is very instinctive and rarely errors at his corner position as he was among the District leaders in interceptions. This is not to downplay his work at the receiver position as he is a weapon for the Cardinals offensively, but my best bet is that he would excel at corner in College.

Gregory Spiller
Gregory Spiller
The John Champe Knights line Spiller up at both receiver and running back and he makes plays regardless. A downhill explosive north-south running back and a craft receiver is how I would best describe Spiller’s skill set. He possesses a tremendous amount of leg strength never going down on initial contact. I anticipate this young man leading the league in total yards by the end of the 2023 season.

Sebastian Pulise
Sebastian Pulise
A ferocious physical hybrid safety/outside linebacker would be the best way I would describe Pulise. This kid packs a major punch each time he makes a tackle, he also has the speed to play safety at the next level. Watching his tape his play reminds me of the late Sean Taylor no how he can cover so much ground. I do not need to inflate anyone’s ego with that comparison but Pulise plays a very similar style of football. My best bet is he transitions to linebacker at the division 2 level, but he has plenty of time to figure that part out.

You cant go to far in the Cedar Run District without discussing one of the top ranked players in the state Domingo Meade Domingo Meade 5’10” | 150 lbs | ATH Virginia Academy | 2024 State VA . Listed just over 5’10 Meade plays like a combination of Terrell Owens and Terry Mclaurin at receiver. Everytime he touches the ball you always have this sense big plays are going to occur. He has already had interest from the likes of Princeton, Columbia and Lock Haven, expect his name to come across many more major institutions as we approach Spring ball.
