Mr. Jansey is as dominant as they come as an inside linebacker in this state and the University of Wisconsin commit finished the night with 12 carries for 42 yards, 9 tackles, and 1.0 TFLs. On offense Batavia utilizes him as a downhill runner to stay ahead of the sticks. On defense, he can work gap to gap and can make open field tackles on the perimeter as well as has the ability to slip blocks to disrupt plays in the backfield. He’s one heck of a player and although he wasn’t able to finish of his high school career with a state championship for his school, he’s going to take his talents to the next level and continue to make his impact felt each time he steps on the field.

Going from 4A ball back up to 7A, we’re looking at the University of Wisconsin Commit Mr. Jansey that had himself a game on both sides of the ball. On defense, he did what he does best working gap to gap and triggering downhill in close space to shut down the run. Where he also shinned was being put at halfback where he finished the day with 176 rushing yards of 19 carries and broke a 71 yard rushing TD to start off the 2nd half. His performance was able to help Batavia punch their ticket to state where they look to take on Mt Carmel. Twitter

Mr. Jansey is our #1 LB here in the State of IL and is a University of Wisconsin Commit. Throughout this game, he was meeting ball carriers at the line of scrimmage as he triggered downhill in close space consistently. In one play, this young man came on a blitz through the B gap where he closed quickly to deliver a heavy hit on the QB which you can see below. He was also used on offense later in the game as a halfback where he used his skill set to get into the endzone for six. Safe to say Batavia and the University of Wisconsin are happy to have this young man holding down their defense. Twitter
