Taking a peek into Smletz’s mid-season tape, I’m happy to learn that Smeltz has validated his pre-season ranking. 500+ yards in five games, this on 34 receptions. Measurables are up since we last checked in too, now standing at 5’11, weighing in at 160 pounds, a good ten pounds heavier than last update. Accelerates under the football well, a comfortable wideout in terms of tracking the football. Can be a three-level weapon for Souderton. Smeltz could rack up 500+ yards in every which way. Smeltz is tough enough to catch slants, hitches, curls, and stick routes and fight for extra yardage, he’s enough of a vertical threat to beat you with the long ball too. An aware and locked-in individual on the field. Smeltz needs to continue working at this pace if he wants to garner real attention from PSACs out East. I’d bet he’s already on PSAC radars for future consideration, more production on tape as well as continued growth on and off the field will help turn consideration into opportunity.
