has emerged as one of the more effective two-way players in the state with high upside at TE and as an edge rusher. Mason showed out during his junior season, in which he recorded 394 receiving yards (team leader), 144 rushing yards, three receiving touchdowns, two rushing touchdowns, 52 tackles, five TFLs, and five sacks. Offensively, Mason’s biggest strength is his versatility, whether it be where he’s lined up or what he can do on a play-by-play basis. His combination of size (6’3″ and 230 pounds) and athleticism makes him a tough matchup across the offensive formation. You can put him outside, in the slot, as an in-line TE, and even in the backfield in an H-back role. Mason runs good routes with the ability to attack all areas of the field and has strong hands that make him a lock at the catch point. He can also use his bigger frame to “out-physical” defenders at the LOS or when going up for the ball. Mehta is also a mean blocker who uses good technique, leverage, and hand placement to overpower his opponents. Mason has been very busy this offseason and has paid dividends on the recruiting front with nine D1 offers.

has been hot on the recruiting trail after a stellar junior season in which he flashed massive potential at tight end and as an edge rusher. Mason ended the season with 17 receptions for 394 yards and three receiving touchdowns (23.2 ypc), as well as 52 tackles, five TFLs, and five sacks. Mehta has already earned offers from various D1 programs, including UT-Martin, Liberty, North Dakota State, Minnesota, and South Dakota. Kansas State has also been involved in Mason’s recruitment with expected visits this spring/summer.
