We’ll have updates, highlights, interviews and more. Part of that “more” are scouting reports. We’ll have breakdowns on some of the top performers that we saw in person. Some of those players will already be established prospects. Others might be under the radar and ready to emerge. Every weekend, check out our scouting reports to see who stepped up in a big way on Friday night, or in this case, Thursday night.
HERITAGE HALL DEFEATS MILLWOOD 20-6
Class 3A’s top ranked Heritage Hall opened up their 2020 season with an impressive win on the road. They squared off with 2A top five ranked Millwood and nearly got the shutout. The Chargers would roll to a 20-6 victory. They would score three touchdowns in the first half and that’s all they would need. Millwood scored a late touchdown with less than a minute to go but the Falcons ran out of time to attempt a comeback. Heritage Hall had several players that stepped up, especially on the defensive side of the ball where they nearly had the shutout. For nearly every player listed below, they played on, and had an impact on both sides of the ball. For highlights from the game, check those out RIGHT HERE. over the summer when we were doing interviews. Fast forward to Thursday and we think that Sirls has grown a few inches since June. He looks even more physically imposing then he did as a junior and has a bright future at the linebacker spot. An interesting point from Thursday’s game was watching Sirls playing along the offensive line. He’s playing O-Line to simply give the Chargers more size up front. We’re interested to see how that experience will help Sirls when he goes back to the defensive side of the ball. He’ll be able to attack opposing offensive linemen from a different perspective. Similar to Swindle, that we’ll write about in a little bit, Sirls is one of the better available prospects in Oklahoma’s 2021 class.

that was the top performer from Heritage Hall’s win over the Falcons. Freeman was all over the place and made an impact in all three phases of the game. On the offensive side of the ball, Freeman was your prototypical slot receiver. He would catch quick passes, bubble screens and do almost all of his damage after the catch. He’s so quick and has very secure hands that he’s arguably Heritage Hall’s biggest threat on offense. On the other side of the ball, Freeman was a head-hunting safety. He wasn’t the biggest player on the field but you couldn’t tell that by the way he played. He made big play after big play defending passes and separating receivers from the ball.
Jayden Williams – 2021 – Running Back
Heritage Hall’s workhorse of a running back is and was senior Jayden Williams. When Heritage Hall was struggling to get anything going on offense, it was Williams that would end up being the answer they needed. The Chargers struggled to move the ball and also had several penalties in the first half that would kill drives. They finally got on the scoreboard when they simply handed it off to Williams several times in a row. That ended with Williams breaking several tackles and trucking his way into the end zone. When it comes to running backs, Williams is certainly a power runner. He did almost all of his damage in the first half. We didn’t see him much after halftime. However, when Heritage Hall needed to get going, it was Williams that provided the answer.

Arguably one of the top available prospects in Oklahoma’s 2021 class is Heritage Hall’s

. The Charger big man played both sides of the ball for the Chargers but after watching him for all four quarters, we believe that his brightest future might be on the offensive line. And that comes after seeing a switch for Swindle as he’s moved to the center position, where he doesn’t have much experience. But he played well and he ended up being an absolute anchor against the Millwood defensive line. We like the move for Swindle to the center position and as he gets more comfortable in that role, things could really take off for him. He’s an absolute force along the line of scrimmage. And even though we think his future is on offense, he’ll still be a terror on defense for the Chargers this fall.

We go from arguably the top available prospect to the most underrated available prospect. Every season, we see prospects that check all of the boxes for us, but for whatever reason, still fly under the radar. For this year’s class we look at Heritage Hall’s

as a good example of that. On offense, he’s starting for the Chargers on offense. On the other side of the ball, he’s playing in the secondary. For us, we think that Mbroh’s natural fit is on the defensive side of the ball as either a safety or a linebacker if he adds more weight to his 6’3 frame. He’s arguably the best athlete on the field for the Chargers and he’s one of the smartest payers in the state. As a quarterback, Mbroh is serviceable but his brightest future when it comes to college is on defense, where he can be the captain of a defensive unit.
