One of Saugus’s most underrated players in the 19-20 season. He is long, strong, and athletic. While only playing couple minutes a game due to the seniors on the team, he was very productive with the time he got. He only had 78 yards while playing tight end. On defense, he racked up 31 total tackles with 16 solo and 3 sacks. Explosive off the ball and good hand technique.
Seth Edwards |6’6”, 225| Saugus, DL, DT, TE
A hard worker who plays the game very physical and uses his size and strength to his advantage. Had 47 total tackles and 24 solo with 3 sacks and 1 forced fumble. He is their biggest player on that team and will lead the Centurion defense in the 20-21 season. Experienced and plays with a chip on his shoulder. He made second team All-Foothill League on defense.
Julian Bornn |5’8”, 180| Saugus, RB
Julian is a very shifty, fast and athletic. He is a great runner. He does not like to go down and always fight for the extra yards. On 78 carries he rushed for 354 yards with a total of 7 touchdowns. He made second team All-Foothill League on offense. Son of the head coach.
Jackson Stein |6’0”, 220| Valencia, OLB
Only played two games in 2019 but still made the second team All-Foothill league selection on defense as a NG. Versatile and can play anywhere on the field. He is a solid LB can go east and west with speed and make plays playing at the highest level in high school football in California (D1). He had total of 3 tackles and 2 sacks within those two games. He should have a monster season in the 20-21 season in his senior year.
Tate Berney |6’1”, 195| Valencia, WR, TE
Tate managed to get playing time on a stacked roster full of wide outs on the Valencia squad. He totaled 56 yards on just 4 catches averaging 14 yards a catch. His athleticism showed when he got his minutes and is poised to have a big season this upcoming year. He now has a new 3-star QB Tyler Voss Tyler Voss 6'3" | 185 lbs | QB Valencia | 2022 State CA and his twin brother transferring to Valencia from Oaks Christian.
Chris Keener |6’0”, 180| Valencia, WR, FS, SS
Due to a stacked Valencia team he made the most out of what he got when getting playing time as a junior on a talented team. Only catching 1 pass for 24 yards he is a tough football player. He is working hard during the off season to have a great, strong senior year. He should be getting action on both offense and defense in the upcoming 20-21 season.
Dylan Roof | 6’0”, 165| Canyon, RB, CB
Dylan had an extraordinarily successful sophomore season and getting playoff experience as well. Young speedster who has great cutbacks and is shifty. On offense, he rushed for 419 yards on 101 carries with a total of 4 touchdowns. He is a tough-minded runner who runs with a chip on his shoulder. He will be one of their start players for the next two seasons coming up for the Cowboys. Also runs varsity track.
