Gavin Hall
Gavin Hall 5'10" | 190 lbs | QB | 2024
GA

So far, there have been plenty of running backs in the state of Georgia who have been almost unstoppable with the football in their hands. These backs have led their teams to wins, and yardage totals that are incomparable to players in other states. Below, we have listed a few of our favorites, who currently sit at the top of the rushing list at this point of the season. Look for this list to shake up even more as the weeks go by.
Jayden Mason- Calvary Christian
While Mason has already impressed many Calvary Christian fans this season, he has continued to impress high school football fans throughout Georgia even more as each week goes by. To this point, he has totaled 1,175 yards on the ground, with an average of around 293 yards per game. In addition to this, it should also be noted that he has toted the rock an unreal amount of times, as 113 carries, with an average of around 10 yards a carry. All of his production has resulted in 15 TD's, and a 3-1 record for his team. As the season progresses, look for Mason to continue to shoulder the load for his team, and to be one of the top rushing leaders by the end of the year if he keeps it up at this rate.
[player_tooltip player_id='262995' first='Gavin' last='Hall']- Hebron Christian Academy
Going into week 5 of the season, Hall has been one of the most consistently productive backs in the state, as he has not only averaged around 234 yards a game, but has done so with about 12 yards per carry on 75 carries. Hall's powerful running, along with his balance, and shiftiness has set him apart from many runners of the football, as he has been able to gain the hard yards, but also take it the distance, just as he did on his season long of 98 yards on one rush. This amount of success on the ground has not only led his team to a 4-0 record, but has also resulted in 11 TD's, which is 66 total points. Expect him to add to this total heavily within the next few weeks.
Jonax Walton- Central
While Central High typically does not get as much respect as they deserve, Walton has still begun to make a name for himself, as he has been one of the key contributors to his team's success. To this point of the season, he has led his team to a 3-1 record, which is no surprise by the way he has racked up plenty of yards with his legs. After 4 games, Walton has totaled 853 yards, 11 TD's, and has also averaged around 213 yards a game. This comes with around 12.36 yards per carry on only 69 rushing attempts.
Cam Vaughn- Temple
Following his first 4 games, Cam Vaughn has impressed plenty of Temple fans throughout the state of Georgia, as he has put the team on his back, proven by the 12 TD's in which he has put on the board already, along with a total of 791 yards. With this, he has also averaged around 197 yards a game, and has also averaged around 9.6 yards a carry. If this is not impressive, the fact that he has done so on 82 carries should also impress you, especially considering his consistent level of production that goes far beyond numbers. While he has been a key piece to his team's success, he has not been able to solve every problem, as his team has currently been sitting at a 2-2 record. Moving forward, only time will tell if he can help his team rack up more wins, and if he will be able to keep his place on this list.
Tyreeck Hall- Winder- Barrow
In just 4 games, Hall has totaled 760 rushing yards, separating himself from the 6th place leading rusher in the state by only 9 points. In addition to this, he has also averaged around 190 yards a game, with around 9.2 yards per carry. Each of these averages for Hall came on a total of 82 rush attempts, which also contributed to 12 TD's. Look for him to continue to add to these totals as the season goes by.
