Tory Blaylock 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB | 2025
TX

Friday Night Lights is here during week two of The Houston High School football season. I decided to watch the biggest game of the week #3 Atascocita Eagles vs #2 Katy Tigers. The game was very competitive Katy scored then Atascocita scored and it continued going back and forth the entire game. Until The Atascocita Eagles couldn't score back in time leading to The Katy Tigers' victory with a final score of 35-28. It was truly a great game to witness both teams put on a great showing and I can see why they're two of the best teams in Houston. In this article, I'll be writing about Atascocita's new offensive weapons.

#1 Zion Brown QB Jr 6'1 180 lbs

Atascocita's quarterback Zion Brown has come a long way from last season. Zion last season was still a fresh quarterback filling in for the senior quarterback name because he, unfortunately, tore his ACL. Zion was good enough to bring his team to the quarter-finals last season with his incredible speed, but his passing left something to be desired. However, this season Zion is more accurate and precise with his passes, and on top of the year of experience under his belt, Zion is a new player. With Zion's speed, passes, and reliable targets to distribute the ball to Atascocita is going to have a great season ahead of them.

#15 Darrell Gill Jr WR Sr 6'3 180 lbs

Darrell Gill Jr is a great wide receiver. Darrell is tall, fast, and tough which made him one of the main receivers to depend on. If the ball was short or long or if there are two or more defenders covering him Darrell will most likely catch the pass. Darrell also won't get tackled without a fight one play it took half the team to bring Darrell down. Darrell just received his 1st college offer from Sul Ross State University.

#14 Claude Slaughter WR Sr 6'2 165 lbs

Claude Slaughter is a reliable and dependable wide receiver. Compared to #15 Claude doesn't get the ball as much, but a great receiver to throw the ball to. Claude was great support and usually found a way to get open for the pass. Claude was able to get one touchdown to end the night.

#5 Logan Mackey CB, FS, RB Sr 6'0 190 lbs

Logan Mackey is a quick and agile running back. Logan was also very sturdy breaking through tackles with ease. In the future, I would like to see Logan get more of a chance to run the ball and truly standout as Logan should.

#6 [player_tooltip player_id='286372' first='Tory' last='Blaylock'] RB So 5'10 175 lbs

[player_tooltip player_id='286372' first='Tory' last='Blaylock'] stands outs specifically for his incredible speed. When Tory got the ball he would rush through the hole, and take off down the field. Tory was a scary threat for Katy's defense especially upfront that couldn't catch him if he was able to get space. Tory ended the night by rushing in 2 touchdowns.
