Let's recap five of the top individual showings from the Metroplex semifinals.

In maybe the game of the entire season statewide, Trey was the best player on the field, totaling 540 total yards and 8 touchdowns. It was an all-time legendary performance for the Rangers' sophomore signal-caller. He is a dual-threat game changer who has the accuracy and arm strength to make any throw, along with speed and vision at every level. Wright resembles a young Bryce Young with pesky evasiveness and big-time arm talent downfield. With over 5,600 total yards and 53 touchdowns on the season, Wright will look to cap off a historic sophomore campaign with a ring on Friday night. He holds offers from Cincinnati, Nevada, and UTSA, among others.

A true all-around wideout, Gunter is a major explosive play threat, and it showed on Saturday, as he totaled 4 TDs and 111 yards on just 7 receptions. Despite the tough loss, it was another electrifying performance by the Dragons' star playmaker. He possesses a rare combination of speed and size, making him a matchup nightmare for any DB in one-on-one situations. In a thrilling junior campaign, Gunter compiled over 1,300 yards and 20 total touchdown scores. Sure to be one of the best senior receivers in the state next season, I'm sure Blake already has his eyes set on the revenge tour. He has received offers from schools such as Boise State, Tulane, and Pitt.

Udom stole the show for the Golden Bears in a thrilling victory over Melissa, reeling in 2 interceptions and adding 7 tackles. A ball hawk of a strong safety, Udom is a versatile game wrecker in the defensive backfield. He boasts an incredible skillset that includes power, speed, and dynamic ball skills. Isaiah has flown around the field all season, totaling 5 interceptions and 57 tackles. With 3 of those picks coming in the playoffs, it's fair to say Udom has blossomed into a big game star. With offers from schools such as Oregon, Oregon State, and Texas State, Isaiah and his Golden Bears will battle Richmond for a state title this weekend.

One of the most rapidly moving names across the country, Baker has been maybe the most productive player in the state throughout the playoffs. In a heavyweight victory over Southlake Carroll, SaRod was incredible, finishing with over 430 total yards and 3 TD scores. Yes, against the #1 team in the state. He showcases explosive burst, dynamic change of direction, and elite speed at all levels. Baker also thrives at breaking tackles with stellar contact balance and power running behind his pads. On the season, Baker piled up over 3,300 yards and 43 TD scores. In just this past week, he has stacked up offers from Ohio State, Oregon, and Colorado. Expect the Eagles to ride the hot hand and let SaRod cook in the state final versus King.

One of the biggest offensive stock risers across the state this season, Yancey is an all-purpose gadget player with thrilling acceleration and athleticism. Trenton was able to carve up the Allen defense for 132 total yards and 2 TDs on just 10 touches. He is a polished and sudden route runner at all levels, excelling at dropping his weight at the top and accelerating out of breaks. While he does have consistent, soft hands, Yancey's best trait is his ability after the catch, sliding in and out of running lanes with loose hips and rapid feet. With over 1,000 scrimmage yards and 19 TDs on the season, don't be surprised if this Bulldogs playmaker is the difference in a championship matchup versus North Shore. He holds offers from schools such as Notre Dame, Alabama, and Utah.
