is someone I am familiar with because he has attended two of our Showcases. Sprankle is a natural thrower of the football. He has excellent mechanics and good footwork. Sprankle also shows a competitive spirit and you see it in the way he raises to the competition. He is also a good athlete that moves well. Sprankle has elite skills at quarterback and unfortunately, his season was cut short because of an injury that occurred. He should be healthy and ready to go this year.

A frequent camper, a passer I see more times a year than some close to home, I’m appreciative of the young man’s work ethic and commitment to the position. Despite a drop in positional rank, something that was a bit forced considering his sophomore campaign was cut short 5-6 weeks, I still think highly of the young man. A top 20 QB in a historically great class, Sprankle now takes his talents to Knoch football. It’s worth noting he won’t be throwing to former Armstrong, now IMG stud

any longer, the two together nearly drew me out to an Armstrong game a good seven hours away from home. Like I’ve noted in the past, tough to really dissect much from his four games last Fall, I’d be doing him a disservice by attempting to break down much of the same throws I’ve seen Sprankle make dating back to the 2022 Fall season. Still, 66 attempts, no interceptions, 12 scores. I’m excited to see Sprankle get a fresh start this coming Fall, I know the young man stays ready. Hope to see him climb back up our ranks.

was named as one of the top 5 standout quarterbacks from PRZ Showcase. Sprankle was super impressive all night throwing the ball. He was in the running for the MVP as well. Sprankle has good mechanics and shows them off with his throwing ability. He gets into his drops well and has quiet feet that enable him to throw an accurate football. Sprankle was also a stand-out at last year’s camp as well, and I noticed a difference in his physical appearance this year as he has gotten a lot stronger. Sprankle is a talented quarterback who was a starting quarterback last year until he broke his collarbone.

was one of the consistent quarterbacks at the Prep Redzone Showcase. He has good mechanics and does a good job of setting his feet to throw the ball. Sprankle showed a good and consistent arm and did a nice job throwing the ball in one-on-one drills. For those reasons is why Sprankle made 2nd team offense.

Colt is another underclassman who knows how to spin it. He spreads the ball around and doesn’t lock onto a target. The sophomore QB has looked like a successful predecessor to Cadin Olson for Armstrong. He throws a good ball with good placement on his passes. Sprankle throws with good anticipation and keeps his eyes downfield while being pressured. Colt’s accuracy is consistent on all three levels. He’s competitive and displays adequate football intelligence. He has good footwork inside the pocket and executes overall QB mechanics with precision. It will be intriguing to watch Sprankle compete coming down the stretch this season.

This list would look a lot different had we ranked quarterbacks to win you a football game. If I had to pick a kid 1-10 to win me a football game on Friday night, I might go with

. I’ve had the chance to be around the kid more than most, I’ve had the chance to take a liking to his overall demeanor. We know how important intangibles are to the position. Sprankle brings a level of leadership and accountability beyond his years. Let’s not get it twisted, the kid also puts forth impressive tape. I get the feeling many are hand-cuffing Sprankle because of his size. Despite Smith and Keating being better prototypical builds, I can’t deny two things. Sprankle’s current tape and production, as well as the growth I’ve seen up close from February to July. He’ll be in the mix for years to come.

Sprankle looked very polished at the 2Tenths Top 150 camp. After playing the backup role to storied D1 QB Cadin Olsen, Sprankle looked ready. He has a strong arm and is a quick decision-maker. Colt has good size to only be a sophomore, at 6’0 and 160 lbs. He threw with good velocity and anticipation all day. He’s an accurate passer who gives his WRs the opportunity to make a play.
