The 2024 Class Ranking has just dropped. Let’s take a look at some of the newcomers on the list that should be making a lot of noise this upcoming season:

[player_tooltip player_id="378673" first="Maurice" last="Williams"], QB Orange

One of the most exciting players in this class; Williams plays a brand of football that’s must-see TV. An athlete at quarterback, he has a propensity for the big play whether that’s by using his legs or hitting deep shots for touchdowns, explosiveness and big plays are his game. He puts you in the mind of Russell Wilson in more ways than one. First, he has the most elusiveness of any quarterback in this class. Trying to sack him or tackle him with one defender will not be a good idea and if you miss, more times than not a big play will follow seeing that he not only has next-level elusiveness but has solid play speed to make plays with his legs.

Also similar to Russell Wilson he excels at first read throws. Many of his best passes come on three-step drops on quicker routes such as slants. Also throws a nice deep ball of a first read, and shows great accuracy and touch when attacking downfield, outside the numbers. Lastly, similar to Russell Wilson due to the play style he holds on to the ball entirely too long trying to extend plays. While his play style is most times a boom/bust situation. We would love to see him be put in situations where he can get the ball quicker and consistently rather than having to live in a world where he has to hold on to the ball for 3+ seconds. Putting him in situations where he can throw on the run, RPOs, and even double and triple-option plays would be most beneficial and assist him in tapping into his full potential.

I could throw the ball on any platform.. @OrangeTornadoes @bcarrnjsports1 @mccarthy_report pic.twitter.com/2kX28rC0AA
— MAURICE “Moe” WILLIAMS JR. (@M1WilliamsJr) July 6, 2022

[player_tooltip player_id="379679" first="Rashawn" last="Marshall"], ATH Weequahic

It’s rare that you find players who are dynamic in every phase of football, but Marshall has seemed to accomplish that as a sophomore. Marshall has a dangerous combination of speed, aglity, burst, and contact balance with that ball in his hands. Wouldnt surprise me if we were to see him playing snaps at wide receiver. He truly is the definition of a weapon. He’s equally as impressive on the defensive side. He’s physical and plays under control making many plays in the backfield. Marshall’s size will be a knock on him but no one can question how he affects the game in every phase.

https://t.co/IMpWIZiWnM
— [player_tooltip player_id="379679" first="Rashawn" last="Marshall"] (@Marsh_Rashawn) April 7, 2022

[player_tooltip player_id="380383" first="David" last="Thom-Rodgers"], WR Montclair

Standing at 6’3 170. Thom- Rodgers one of the best RedZone threats in the class. He can use his big body to create space he has a game that’s similar to Bucs WR Mike Evans. Thom-Rodgers is really exceptional at stacking cornerbacks when running deeper routes. Shows exceptional deep ball tracking ability and can make it happen after the catch. Thom-Rodgers will be an obvious breakout candidate this upcoming season.

Touchdown catch against West Orange High school ‼️@MTCMountieFB pic.twitter.com/SiL7fUQt3l
— David Thom-Rogers (@DavidThomRoger2) October 17, 2021

PSR Combine

603 / 165 - Class of 2024
WR ⁦@DavidThomRoger2⁩
Montclair NJ pic.twitter.com/fRDdOqydjp
— PSR Combine Series (@ScoutNickP) May 6, 2022

[player_tooltip player_id="380322" first="Matthew" last="Pierre"], DL South Brunswick

At 6’2 240 [player_tooltip player_id="380322" first="Matthew" last="Pierre"] is one the most explosive interior defensive linemen in this. He plays with some of the best leverage in the class and knows how to play with a strong lower half. He has solid initial burst and generates power through his hip to use hands to consistently gain leverage against opposing offensive linemen. Would love to see him take the next step and add two to three go-to moves. To move into the status of being the ultimate game-wrecking elite interior defensive lineman using all the physical tools that he has.

Check out my sophomore season highlights! @th3macattack18 @VikingsSouth @TFSilvernail @RutgersRivals https://t.co/dnuxgEOFdR
— [player_tooltip player_id="380322" first="Matthew" last="Pierre"] (@MatthewPierre73) November 7, 2021
