The Missouri High School Activities Association held its track and field championships for the three largest classifications, Class 3, 4 and 5, in Jefferson City over the weekend.
We are taking a look at how some of the top football prospects from the 2023, 2024 and 2025 classes performed during the two-day meet.
2023 PROSPECTS
[player_tooltip player_id="119086" first="Bryant" last="Bull"], Marshfield
One of the better quarterback prospects in Missouri in the 2023 class, the 6-foot-4, 183-pound Bull showed off his athleticism with a nice all-around performance. He finished sixth in the Class 4 long jump with a distance of 22 feet 3 inches. He was also on Marshfield's 4x100 relay and 4x200 relay squads that finished seventh and fifth, respectively.
[player_tooltip player_id="192488" first="Zach" last="Grace"], Kearney
Grace, a physical specimen at 6-3 and 230 pounds, finished fifth in the Class 4 discus with a toss of 168-6 to help his Kearney squad win the Missouri Class 4 championship. Grace's recruiting has picked up in recent weeks with offers from Murray State, Navy and Army.
[player_tooltip player_id="178572" first="Al-Mani" last="Jimerson"], McCluer
Jimerson, a 6-2, 320-pound defensive tackle, finished 10th in the Class 4 discus with a toss of 147-2.
[player_tooltip player_id="172411" first="Heston" last="Miller"], West Plains
An electrifying athlete as a wide receiver prospect, Miller concluded a strong track season by finishing second in the 100-meter dash (10.58 seconds) and fifth in the 200 (21.95). With Miller leading the way, West Plains also took second in the 4x200 relay and fourth in the 4x100 relay.
A 6-1, 200-pounder, Miller picked up offers from Air Force and Army in the past few weeks. He should have a successful camp season in June with his combination of size and speed.
[player_tooltip player_id="300684" first="Terran" last="Mitchell"], Affton
Mitchell, a 5-7, 150-pound athlete, finished sixth in the Class 4 triple jump (43-9.50) and 10th in the long jump (21-8.25). He posted a 4.57 40-yard dash time at the recent St. Louis Metro Football Coaches Association Spring Showcase event.
[player_tooltip player_id="37668" first="Winston" last="Moore"], MICDS
A 5-11, 180-pound wide receiver-running back, Moore had a good all-around day. He finished fifth in the 100 with a PR of 10.73 seconds and helped the 4x200 and 4x400 relay squads win state championships. The 4x400 broke the school record with a time of 3:23.94. MICDS also finished fourth as a team.
[player_tooltip player_id="262277" first="Nate" last="Schuckman"], MICDS
Schuckman, a 6-6, 250-pound offensive tackle, finished ninth in the Class 4 discus with a toss of 148-5.
[player_tooltip player_id="37693" first="Quaran" last="Williams"], Parkway North
Williams, a 6-2, 180-pound athlete who committed to Miami (Ohio) this spring, finished eighth in the 100 (11.20) and 15th in the long jump (20-6.50).
2024 PROSPECTS
[player_tooltip player_id="322567" first="Payton" last="Brown"], Hillsboro
Brown finished second in the Class 4 javelin with a toss of 179-2 and finished 12th in the 300-meter hurdles prelims (42.81 seconds).
[player_tooltip player_id="275125" first="Mike" last="Lane"], Winnetonka
One of our favorite wide receiver prospects in Missouri in the 2024 class, Lane finished third in the 300-meter hurdles finals with a time of 38.91 seconds and finished fourth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.88 seconds.
[player_tooltip player_id="130163" first="Antwon" last="McKay"], Cardinal Ritter
McKay, a quarterback for the Lions, finished eighth in the 300-meter hurdles finals with a time of 40.60 seconds.
[player_tooltip player_id="335625" first="Griouard" last="Weddington"], Grandview
Weddington capped off a strong track season with third-place finishes in the 100 (10.63 seconds) and 200 (21.53), both personal records. Grandview's 4x100 relay squad also finished third (42.67).
Only a sophomore, Weddington has a bright future on the track but is already drawing attention on the football field. He'll be an interesting player to track this fall to see what kind of impact he can make on the field.
2025 PROSPECTS
[player_tooltip player_id="188601" first="Jamarion" last="Parker"], Cardinal Ritter
Parker, a running back who is probably the most recruited prospect on this list, finished 10th in the 100-meter dash prelims with a time of 11.63 while running into the wind (-2.5 wind rating). Parker's PR in the 100 this spring was 10.99 seconds.
