Deante Ruffin is a QB prospect who is extremely fun to watch. The 6’3 | 230 lb prospect plays on both sides of the ball but excels at the Quarterback position. This spring Ruffin has picked up offers from UPenn, Fordham, and Army. He took visits to ECU and Kent State. I’m excited to see how Neumann Goretti uses him in their offense. It is something that will be fun to watch. Ruffin has the arm and athleticism to excel at the next level, and I’m excited to see where he takes his talents. 

With freshman Jalen Parker Jalen Parker 5'9" | 160 lbs | QB Winslow Township | 2027 State NJ sidelined throughout the remainder of playoffs, Deante Ruffin Deante Ruffin 6'3" | 230 lbs | LB/QB Neumann-Goretti | 2025 State PA performed admirably and reminded people that he, too, can ball out and his not your typical starter. In the 33-6 victory against Hammonton, Ruffin was 14 of 21 for 348 yards with 3 touchdowns.

It was scary what Deante and his talented group of receivers were able to do to opposing defenses in 2022. If there’s one thing you shouldn’t do against Deante and Co., it’s run man coverage. With the speed of Camden High’s receivers and Deante’s cannon of an arm, this team was able to run streak after streak for touchdowns. It almost looked unfair with how much Camden High abused defenses through the air.

In 2022, Deante accumulated 2016 passing yards and 17 touchdown passes to go with it. He is also an impressive ball carrier. Bulldozing over players half his size, Deante rushed for 373 yards and added 9 more touchdowns on the ground. As it stands, Deante may be the most talented QB in the 2025 class coming out of New Jersey. He has a bright future with whichever D1 program gains his interest.
