1. Chandavian Bradley Chandavian Bradley 6'5" | 215 lbs | DL Platte County | 2023 State MO , Platte County
Bradley, a 6-foot-5, 210-pound edge rusher, is the No. 2 overall prospect in Missouri in the Class of 2023 and the best of a deep and talented group of defensive linemen. The first eight players on this list of defensive linemen already have Division I scholarship offers and there will likely be several more who end up playing D-1 football.
The long and athletic Bradley, who also plays basketball, is a fun player to watch because he can fire off the snap, bend past offensive tackles and attack the backfield with unique speed and quickness. His film also shows he has the ability to drop back in coverage as an outside linebacker. He needs to get stronger and add weight but he will.
Bradley has attracted scholarship offers from coast to coast and recently received offers from Miami and USC. He’s already a highly sought-after recruit but he’ll garner even more attention this offseason.
2. Edric Hill Edric Hill 6'3" | 270 lbs | DL North Kansas City | 2023 State MO , North Kansas City
Hill is a big and strong 6-3 (or 6-4), 270-pounder who ranks as the No. 5 overall prospect in Missouri in the junior class and is the top interior defensive line prospect. He has some similarities to top 2022 prospects Marquis Gracial Marquis Gracial 6'4" | 310 lbs | DL St. Charles | 2022 State MO (Missouri signee) and Domonique Orange Domonique Orange 6'3" | 295 lbs | DL North Kansas City | 2022 State MO (Iowa State) with that speed and power as interior defensive line disrupters.
Hill already has more than a dozen scholarship offers, including from Arkansas and Alabama, the last two schools to offer him. So, yeah, he won’t be hurting for college options a year from now.
3. Jahkai Lang Jahkai Lang 6'3" | 240 lbs | DL Troy Buchanan | 2023 State MO , Troy Buchanan (Missouri)
Lang, a 6-3, 235-pound edge rusher, put an early end to his recruitment in mid December when he pledged to stay home and play for Missouri, joining Francis Howell tight end Brett Norfleet Brett Norfleet 6'7" | 240 lbs | TE Francis Howell | 2023 State MO as the second Tigers’ commitment for 2023. Lang is the No. 10 overall prospect in Missouri for the Class of 2023.
Lang is a versatile defensive end/outside linebacker who also played offensive tackle for Troy Buchanan, which advanced to the Missouri Class 6 semifinals this fall with a breakout season.
Lang was credited with 51 tackles, six sacks, one interception and one fumble recovery during his junior season. The six sacks were a team high for the Trojans. He racked up 60 tackles, eight sacks and four fumble recoveries as a sophomore and 25 tackles and three sacks as a freshman.
4. Tyler Gant Tyler Gant 6'3" | 280 lbs | DL CBC | 2023 State MO , CBC
Gant, the No. 11 overall prospect in Missouri in the Class of 2023, is a 6-4, 270-pounder coming off a breakthrough junior season that saw him help CBC win the Missouri Class 6 championship and collect a bunch of individual accolades along the way.
Gant recorded 73 tackles, including 15 for losses, five sacks and two interceptions and was one of the leaders of the Cadets’ deep and talented defense.
Gant has received scholarship offers from Arkansas, Wisconsin, Iowa State, Kentucky, Iowa, Illinois and others and will attract a lot of attention this offseason.
5. Adepoju Adebawore Adepoju Adebawore 6'4" | 220 lbs | DL North Kansas City | 2023 State MO , North Kansas City
A long and lean 6-4, 220-pound edge rusher, Adebawore is one of the hottest prospects in the state after showing his potential this fall. He checks in as the No. 13 prospect in Missouri in the junior class.
Adebawore racked up 51.5 tackles, including 19 for loss, and 10 sacks in 11 games during his breakout season.
He received an offer from Iowa State before the season and that was followed by offers from Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State and Arkansas. He will continue to be a hot prospect this offseason as more schools get a look at him.
