, an offensive lineman at Antioch High School. Whitset impressed me with his size, strength and his ability to utilize his wingspan to pushback against the defense in crucial moments. I also liked how Whitset could buy his quarterback extra time when the defense applied pressure, using his arms to shove the defense back in crucial moments.

This is the best prospect to come out of the Antioch program in several years and Whitset is still far from a finished product, which makes his upside exceptional. Standing about 6’5 275 pounds, Whitset is a long and athletic offensive tackle that has the makeup and traits to become a potential blind side blocker on the collegiate level. He shows the footwork and agile lower base to get the job done but to become the kind of player he needs to be, Whitset must continue hitting the weight room to pack on more weight. That weight addition will come during his time at Purdue, where Whitset pledged his services to a few weeks ago and it’s a good fit where I think the Bears senior offensive tackle can develop nicely and eventually become a starter along the Boilermakers offensive line.

The best prospect to come out of Antioch in some time is this tall and long athletic O-lineman with upside as a college pass blocking tackle that already has Power Five offers and interest. Whitset has the physical traits that excite collegiate coaches but he is still far from a finished product. While the Bears rising junior has an excellent frame for added size, he is still a little light in the britches but the weight will come in time as Whitset continues to develop and grow. What has myself and college coaches intrigued with this Mid-Tennessee product is his athleticism and lower base agility that says he could protect the blind side on the next level. Whitset already has significant college interest but watch it grow even further after the start of the season when new film is available, showing his football development.

Coming from a football program that hasn’t done a lot of winning in recent years, Whitset will bring the college coaches to school regardless of the team’s success because this 6’5 pass blocker screams upside and the ability to protect the blind side on the next level. Those talents have been on full display thus far through summer camp season, where Whitset has landed offers from Toledo, UAB and Vanderbilt along with many others showing interest. The Bears junior O-lineman is a tall, long and athletic blocker that has plenty of room for growth and the ability to either handle left and right tackle or slide inside to guard. Whitset still has a ways to go before he fills out into the player he can be but college coaches have recognized the potential and are starting to get involved.
