Becoming a starter last season as a freshman, Adams has expanded on his game thus far through his sophomore campaign to become the Bears best option out wide on offense while being one of their better defenders in the secondary. What this Mid-Tennessee product brings to the field is game changing abilities that can be utilized in a variety of ways. Over on offense, Adams is a dependable pass catcher with great hands and the ability to consistently get open. His athleticism and speed allows him to create separation to either work downfield or the intermediate routes. Adams could also develop on defense at either corner or nickelback as the Bears sophomore shows ball hawk like tendencies. I personally like Adams best on offense where he could develop into a dynamic slot guy that also brings upside in the return game. Development, especially in the weight room is needed for Adams but I like the athletic potential and who the Bears playmaker can become on the college stage.

Aaden “Bug” Adams is a terrific two-way player for Antioch High School. He’s certainly a better wide receiver. But for this article, I am using his abilities at cornerback, where he’s also been highly productive. In seven games, he has 18 tackles, three interceptions and four pass deflections.

Adams lacks size for a skill player, standing 5-foot-8 and weighing 150 pounds. Typically, I would have concerns about it. But look at his older brother, Andre. Bug will eventually grow into a high-level FBS frame. What is exciting, though, is his polished skills at such a young age.

A lot of in-state recruits don’t typically flash this early, especially in the way that Adams has. I like his technique and ability to move all along the secondary. That versatility is nice. The sophomore is a strong coverage corner, has high instincts, can recover well and shows good footwork.
